Goldfrapp – Utopia Lyrics 15 years ago
This song I think, is hands-down Goldfrapp's best and most brilliant song. Sure, many songs come close but this song reflects pure and simply WHY Goldfrapp is such great band. Not only is the music kick-ass, full of imagery, it takes you on a journay - but the topic of the song is also a very interesting one. I think shufflefarm's interpretation was spot-on, very great.

Goldfrapp – Lovely Head Lyrics 15 years ago
This song seems to me like it's a very mechanical, scientific way of feeling and expressing love. Obviously, the character of the song is fond of someone, but it doesn't exactly seem like the feeling is mutual. It's a very creepy song, for sure. A great song.

Goldfrapp – Deep Honey Lyrics 15 years ago
I have to agree with the previous poster, AncientNova. If you try to manipulate a song's lyrics in any way, ANY song in this world could be about drugs. Alison's lyrics are very dreamlike, very sparse - she uses very few words to express a lot of emotion. I think this song is about someone who obviously tells little lies and is slowly pushing someone away - tears start. I find Goldfrapp's music to be very interesting because the lyrics definitely tell something, but the music tells more. This song is so mysterious and just irradiates sadness and confusion.

Goldfrapp – Crystalline Green Lyrics 15 years ago
I love this song. It has so many layers to it and that's why it probably sounds different and you discover something new with each listen. Alison's lyrics (she explains so herself) are very, very dreamlike - they could mean anything, you could interpret them in any way. To me, this is just a song about escapism, about getting away and just leaving it all behind for a while. Something like that.

Goldfrapp – Cologne Cerrone Houdini Lyrics 15 years ago
This song is talking about the "pastel" side of the person we are crushing or in love with. We appreciate them and love having them around, but we know in the end they're just not the one for us. Very sexeh.

Todd Rundgren – The Surf Talks Lyrics 15 years ago
Wow, this is a busy little song. I like it. I want to know exactly who or what "The Surf" is. Obviously, it's something dial-up/Internet-related, no? Maybe it's about the way the Internet sucks us all in and promises an unlimited amount of information? Who knows. This song is a bit confusing to me, but it keeps it interesting.

Todd Rundgren – Espresso (All Jacked Up) Lyrics 15 years ago
I like this song for its simple message. It's just a song about drinking lots of coffee because you're traveling the whole world...touring, I suppose.

Todd Rundgren – Eastern Intrigue Lyrics 15 years ago
This song is just about the tremendous confusion some of us will face when trying to decide what religion we will believe in. There are so many religions in this planet, so many different names for a God; it's really quite a daunting task if we haven't already placed our faith into something.

Todd Rundgren – Can We Still Be Friends? Lyrics 15 years ago
I love this song. Although it's one of Todd's more "sugary" ballads, it's really a superbly-crafted pop song. If you have a good ear for music, you'll notice right away that this song is something special.
If we talk about its song true meaning, I believe this song was written about Bebe Buell (Todd's girlfriend of many years) and their final break-up. Obviously, this girl is still loved, cared for and still important in this guy's life. Sometimes things don't work out, but life will still go on and on and on :)

Todd Rundgren – An Elpee's Worth Of Tunes Lyrics 15 years ago
This is a very tongue-in-cheek way of looking at the profession of being a musician and producing albums for a living. If you really look at in the end, it IS a little bit strange to "try and change the world with a plastic waffle."

No Doubt – Magic's in the Makeup Lyrics 15 years ago
I think this song can have different meanings to everyone, obviously. It's a song plenty of girls and women could identify with in their own way. To me, it seems like it's talking about putting up some sort of security wall through our make-up; it makes us feel safe and accepted. When it all comes off, we can't help but wonder who we really are and if we really express our true selves. Make-up can be a very important thing for a girl but sometimes it can really make us feel trapped and like we're not showing who we really are inside.

No Doubt – Staring Problem Lyrics 15 years ago
I love this song because, which girl hasn't ever felt like this before?! Although Gwen is pretty, obviously; that doesn't mean that she has never ever felt insecure about herself. In fact, many of her songs talk very openly about her superficial insecurities!
Women are the best judges when it comes to other women's beauty, so it's happened to all of us that we see a girl that we just can't stop STARING at! We literally wonder how it must feel to be her. I like this song because plenty of girls and women can relate to this. :)
