eh.. im not sure, but this is my guess from first glance: "Waiting for the one I love I've been forgetting you " she just broke up with somebody, because he turned out to be "the wrong one". "If anyone should ask me I'll tell them I don't know I've been leaving all my clues like my footprints in the snow" she can't believe she's so torn up about it and wants comfort, but she's not going to openly admit it... she just wants somebody to pick up on her subtle cues. "Watching all the quiet faces I can understand Why we need to be rescued by better things than man" reigious help? "better than man"? you know? idk. its my weak guess. but i LOVE this song. im prolly relating it to that because thats how i feel. haha. but i guess music is supposed to be interpreted into something you can hold on to. make something so personal to them personal to YOU. :] |

smithersjones, exactly. this was supposed to be a joke to mock other big selling artists. he basically proved that he could be that if he wanted to... and i must say the melody is really kind of beautiful. just because he wrote it as a joke doesn't mean he didnt try to make it sound good... im having trouble explaining my thoughts, but im sure you probably get what i mean. i personally think this song is great. not too jam-like, but none the less, a great tune. :] |

why do i get the feeling she is on e? "that happy place" = the high "why are you escaping"= come down ?? :-\ just a thought. especially since the feeling many get is love, but often as one may come down, they may realize its not love... so maybe she is still in the effects and wondering why he wont love her back. just a thought. |
