this song is so pretty. |
UNKLE – With You In My Head (feat. The Black Angels) Lyrics | 11 years ago |
This may seem weird to me, this song can be the perspective of a family member of a person who is possed by something, like a deamon or something. The deamon is holding them and they try to use holy water to get rid of it. It doesn't have to be a daemon but thats just what the 'holy water' lyric made me think of, it could be any type of vice or addiction that has a hold over someone. "You keepin' on a holdin' Holdin' on a-keepin' No givin' into takin' more But still, still feedin' Completely disturbed All you want is allegiance Hear them what you saw You hear them what you saw You hear them what you saw You hit 'em with believin' Holy, holy water washin' over the soul" To me it seems like the person who is dealing with this addiction is ready to give up on life, but the love of the people around them keeps them wanting to 'stick to love' or keep living even when it gets hard. Collecting all the people you love to sing you a song Even if they stick to humming Holding on a song to see them When you're really sick-a sick-a sick of love Leaving with their heart To shape them within Even if they stay to running Hold 'em on the soul, believing Till you wanna stick-a stick-a stick to love All they they are doing to help this person is out of there love for that person. .. they are doing it all to get the person they love back. Oh, we're ready, honey I got all the skills You've given all our love for you Everything you taught me honey It never even mattered, really It's all of our love for you With you in my head With you in my head With you in my head When you went down, the men came callin' Faded in stone as you wept from fallin When you went down, the men came callin' Singing in tongues, it makes things summoned. |
Paramore – Brand New Eyes Tour Intro Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Why so few comments... and why dosent anyone look at this albulm as one full ongoing story. I feel like it all ties into ecah other, each song. So in this CD I see diffrent things going on. Some of the songs are about love, yes, but did anyone notice that in songs like careful there are all of these anti-religious refrences. Such as "The truth never set me free, so I did it myself" To me this song, and alot of songs on this CD are about struggles with faith. What if the 'dad' in this song is suppose to refrence God? Just another way to think of it. |
Lupe Fiasco – The Coolest Lyrics | 14 years ago |
We read this poem in english class I think hes refrencing it in this song. We real cool. We Left school. We Lurk late. We Strike straight. We Sing sin. We Thin gin. We Jazz June. We Die soon. Its called "The Pool Players" Could be a reference when he said... "Come, these are the tales of The Cool Guaranteed to go and make you fail from your school And seek unholy grails like a fool And hang with the players of the pool" |
30 Seconds to Mars – Hurricane Lyrics | 14 years ago |
so what do you think it means. Sound like a guy is thiking of suicide. It also sounds a little anti-god. Like this part. "Tell me would you kill to save a life Tell me would you kill to prove your right" - jesus Do you really want me? Do you really want me dead or alive to torture for my sins? " " Where is your God?" I think the songs is about guy who a bunch of bad things (aka the hurricane) had made him doupt God and want to kill himself. Kinda negative, and weard for Kanye. Or mabye not so weard for Kanye. |
Muse – Starlight Lyrics | 14 years ago |
its sounds kinda spiritual to me, like the person is asking God not to fade away... just how it sounds to me. If not God, Sounds like he is chasing after perfection of some sort, but never gets it. And then he's thinking to simpler times when he 'just wanted to hold you in my arms'. |
Paramore – Turn It Off Lyrics | 14 years ago |
The tragedy, it seems unending I'm watching everyone I looked up to break and bending We're taking shortcuts and false solutions Just to come out the hero Well, I can see behind the curtain (I can see it now) The wheels are cranking, turning It's all wrong, the way we're working Towards a goal that's non-existent It's not existent, but we just keep believing" To me, this part of the song isen't nessasarly anti-religious. She could just be talking about the way ppl act nowdays. People are too busy working for Fame, Money, Reputation, Power that they forget. Shes saying that she sees everyone she looked up to doing this. All this is working twods a goal that the media shows that non existanct because you can't acheave it. So she's saying she just wants to fall back down to the bottom. I def this this part is about is about doupting faith "I scraped my knees while I was praying And found a demon in my safest haven Seems like it's getting harder to believe in anything Than just to get lost in all my selfish thoughts I wanna know what it'd be like To find perfection in my pride To see nothing in the light I'll turn it off, in all my spite In all my spite, I'll turn it off" But I don't think its necessarily renousing her fairh, I thinks its about her trying to be honest with how she feels and woundering what it would be like to now have it, but she knows shes better off when she hits the bottom because thats when God can help her. Thants how I see it. |
Cobra Starship – One Day, Robots Will Cry Lyrics | 15 years ago |
the host is a good book i cryed through like the whole end of it. its deeper than twilight so unless you read it don't diss it. |
Mute Math – Spotlight (Twilight Mix) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
lol i love that you referenced switchfoot. has anyone heard the song "crawling towards the sun" by the hush sound? It makes me think of twilights cuz it reminds me of vampires who are trying to be good. Outside of twilight, i think this song is taking about someone who is trying to do the right thing but fells like it will be easer to fail or to just be like eveyone else. it says "everyone would rather watch you fall, cause were all in trouble, just take a fall, your one of us now" At first i didn't like this song because i thought it had a negative message but its such a good song and its so REAL because i think eveyone fells like this sometime in there life so you cant not like this song. thats what i get from it anyway. |
Switchfoot – The Beautiful Letdown Lyrics | 15 years ago |
stop critiquing people because they don't see the song the same way as you. if an atheist docent see the song the same way as a Christian it shouldn't matter because the box says " What dose this song mean to YOU" as in you personally. This is an awesome song let everybody enjoy it (and i'm a Christian btw). And i think its about how the world will be a letdown to you but its good because of god, and also the second verse is about how you will probably be a letdown to god but your still beautiful to him and loved. Its also about how he doesn't fit in in this world but he will still stand up for what he believes in "i will carry your cross and your song where i don't belong" thats how i see it, to me |
M.I.A. – Boyz Lyrics | 15 years ago |
catchy... but no meaning whatsoever. I guess you could find meaning it it but not consistently throughout the whole song... i think its kinda random. but i still love it. it you look for meaning in anything you can find it, weather its really there or not. of course, mabye thats what meaning really is. its personal. |
Antsy Pants – Vampire Lyrics | 15 years ago |
makes me tink of a little boy whoes teeth fell out and he feels weard about it lol |
Antsy Pants – Tree Hugger Lyrics | 15 years ago |
to be a cactus with a pink flower on it could be to be a guarded person but who loves everything and everyone. And the snake...and the tree... and the whole song is just awsomelol. becically its abotu eveybody wanteing to be liek someone else who is opposite of them. |
Kanye West – Stronger Lyrics | 15 years ago |

Lupe Fiasco – Superstar Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I think he isen't just talking about fame but about status. i haven't seen the music video to this, but i always picture this little video in my head. the guy is going to a show to preform on stage, but the people wont let him in they let his girlfriend and friend in. By "standing outside of heaven wait for god to come and get me" means hes waiting for something good to happen. I think the shades are a mataphore and after he leaves the arina they wont let him in he puts some shades on because hes embarrassed to be seen, so hes trying to cover up who he is inside because "spotlights can burn holes trough the stage" but even though he dosen't like it he wants it because thats what the media says he should want " even after all that we don't want it to fade." so then he gose home because they wont let him in and he things abotu how he wants it to be idealistically, and he thinks abotu how he wants it to be and pictures it being like that in the last verse. In my made up music video, i always picture him going back in and pushing whoever blocked him out and going on stage in the end, because thats just how the ending sound of the music and it ending on the words "have no fear"makes me feel like happens. basically, its about felling with the presause of being famous or in general the pressure of upholding other people standers or standerds of happiness |
Yael Naim – Far Far Lyrics | 15 years ago |
i picture this song about three different things: writing, painting, and music. She is a dreamer, and she thinks her dreams are better than reality. "reality looks far now, but don't go" She is a sensitive artest type, and she is trying to understand the world round her. the girl is looking at the world and all the people and dosen't understand them so she turns to the arts which is the best way she can express herself. its like she gets stressed, and she wants to run away inside of herself, but later in the songs she realizes she cant keep it all inside of herself so she "gives birth" to it buy sharing it which i assume she is talking about writing her music. |
Paramore – Decode Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I didn't read all the comments ( over 100) but from what i did read i don't think anyone see's this song the way i see it. How can I decide what's right When you're clouding up my mind? I can't win You're losing fight All the time i think its about how bella feels about the whole situation with edward or in general a person fighting with there one battle between good and evil. Alot of teh books theam was about her wanting to be with edward but there was also the whole "vampires have no soul" thing going on. I think alot of the song is about the character talking about herself, like I can picture her being introspective in alot of the lyrics. How did we get here? I used to know you so well, yeah How did we get here? Well, I think I know There is something I see in you It might kill me I want it to be true She sees bad in herself and is woundering how it got there, at the same time she dosent want it to go away because she loves him. Thats how i see this song. |
