Nine Inch Nails – Capital G Lyrics

To me this song is about that sort of thing, society become more and more capitalised, business orientated, people just taking things for themselves, hedonistic, greedy leaders of countries, companies, etc. "The biggest problem with the way that we've been doing things is, The more we let you have the less that I'll be keeping for me" |

Personally I think the line about his new "God" signing his name with a "capital G" is more about a God who is more commercialised almost, giving in to the government, like a business leader or something, capitalistic. I'm not quite sure how to describe it, but I don't think the G stands for George, Governemnet or anything, it simply stands for God.

Bloc Party – Biko Lyrics

Yeah Biko refers to the Nigerian word, i think the nearest english equivalent would be something like 'dear'. like people have said, its a term of affectionate greeting used by and to loved ones, and used by his parents.
Personally I think this song is about someone possibly dying that Kele is trying to help but can't. I don't think that the "cancer" mentioned is literal though. |
