and by Black Dahlia Murder I mean the actual murder, not the band. I'm sure there's some kids out there that listen to The Black Dahlia Murder and aren't even aware of the actual murder. -_- |

Favorite song on Decimate the Weak. The whole razor blade smile stretched from ear to ear reminds me of the black dahlia murders, but idk why they would write about something like that. but who knows? aha |

"i'll watch you fall from this balconly, like a chandeliar from the sixth story. The concrete will stain from the blood which you paint, a poet you've lived now an artist you'll die."

A Day to Remember – NJ Legion Iced Tea Lyrics

I believe this song is for all the people talking shit on them.
They tell you to watch what you say because their friends and maybe also family and fans can take on all the people who bad mouth them. They are also saying that they can't hold them down because they've made it. Toasting to a better year because maybe after this song and after this new album their year will be a better one and people will have more respect for them.
This is just my opinion. Right me if I'm wrong. |

"we signed three, four, five on that dotted line."
Do you think that could be like either a figurative speech for signing away the lives they had before the band, OR it could be them signing to their record label.

Chiodos – Life Is a Perception of Your Own Reality Lyrics

I remember when everyone I knew thought that "hang my vocal cords up on the door" was referrencing to the end of Craig's musical career, everyone was freaking out and I was like "Dude, chill Chiodos isn't going anywhere."
I don't get the whole
"I could even peel the skin right off my face
And blow a chance with the cartilage of my nose
Just to show you how to really move"
Enlighten me? |

Chiodos – Is It Progression If A Cannibal Uses A Fork? Lyrics

I really think its SOLEMN tolling of the funeral bell.
Solemn meaning earnest, and serious. Slow tolling just sounds plain and doesn't show how the funeral bell would make someone feel. It just makes more sense and sounds like solemn, not slow. |
