Bill Wells & Aidan Moffat – The Greatest Story Ever Told Lyrics
| 8 years ago
|
For me this is about love being a man made construct and reproduction is a biological process for the continuation of the human race, nothing more.
I still think this is a positive song, that we are in control of our own destiny and the impact our choices have on our own lives and those we pass. |

The Charlatans – Impossible Lyrics

@[pt:4211] If you want uplifting, stick Walking On Sunshine on! Some songs are about being left for a new lover, like this one. Being uplifting is nothing to do with the success of The Charlatans (didn't realised they'd underachieved). |

Blondie were always copying other riffs, drum patterns etc, so it would come as no surprise that they just sped up a beatles guitar 'riff'.
Good spot. |

British Sea Power – Once More Now Lyrics

It's all very well being the first person to put a song title into songmeanings.net, but if you're going to do that how about actually putting the lyrics in too?
By doing this you're actually messing up the database, just so you can 'be there first'. |

Manic Street Preachers – Archives of Pain Lyrics

This song is definitely not pro-capital punishment, it was wrote using right wing views to demonstrate how hypocritical they are.
The spoken opening is definitely not Nana from The Royle Family, it's most likely an actual mother of one of the Yorkshire ripper's victims. |

Nancy Sinatra – Sugar Town Lyrics

It's a very simple song about living in emotional isolation from the rest of the world, so the narrator is unaffected by life. Put to good use in (500) Days Of Summer. |

I downloaded this today and was surprised how much it sounds like The Snake by Al Wilson. It's a complete rip off. Like it though. |

Late of the Pier – Bathroom Gurgle Lyrics

It is rolling dimes, and the laughter bit I reckon is the bathroom gurgle, it's certainly not laughter.
I think it's about wasting your time in a dead end relationship and crap job and going and enjoying life, dancing and getting drunk with someone new. |

The crashing sound reminds me of a plate/s smashing, not glass, which ties in with china white. |

I don't know much about the history of List Christee or Georgie Fruit but it seems to me it's about Kevin's confused sexuality between the three personalities "We can do it softcore if you want but you should know I take it both ways" and "frightened cornered gemini tactics". |
