In Flames – The Quiet Place Lyrics | 15 years ago |
The song is fine, it's great, but my buddy plays it waaaaay too much man. |
Ja Rule – Mesmerize Lyrics | 15 years ago |
LOL yeah sooooo gay |
Scott Cain – I'm Moving On Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Ooooooh yeah totally dawg! This is like our conversation page seeing as no one knows the true gayness of Scott Cain. This song also holds a special place in my heart. But at the same time, in the immortal words of Stan Zemanek: He's "lower than a snake's belly." Man, I soooooooo have to go to Harvey Norman |
Third Eye Blind – Semi-Charmed Life Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Great song. American Pie was on TV the other day and it reminded me to get this song... years later. It's been what... like 12 years since this song came out? |
Fedde Le Grand – Let Me Think About It (Radio Edit) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Where is Put Your Hands Up 4 Detroit? Ah, whatevs. Great song! About a guy trying to let the girl know how keen he is. |
The Potbelleez – are you with me? Lyrics | 15 years ago |
GREAT SONG! Yay! First and probably only comment! Sounds like a peace movement and standing up against letting the world get doomed! HAR HAR HAR |
The Potbelleez – Junkyard Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Just about going out and having a ball. The Potbelleez START the parties! |
The Potbelleez – Don't Hold Back Lyrics | 15 years ago |
This song is great! The Potbelleez album is gold! Seriously! Well, it sounds like this song is about a romantic partner or a friend helping someone through a tough time |
September – Cry For You Lyrics | 15 years ago |
VIVA THE DANCE MUSIC REVOLUTION!!! Yeah, this song is about someone who blew their chance at having a good relationship, so they'll never see their partner again. |
Good Charlotte – The River Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Brilliant song! I love Avenged Sevenfold, and M. Shadows is like mmmm Uuhm, anyway, I thought GC put a lot of hard work into the lyrics this time. It has more symbolism than normal. I suppose it would have to, if you're writing about religion. |
Good Charlotte – The Young And The Hopeless Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Good song. A message we can all relate to at certain points in our lives, regardless of age. But this is more suited to a teenager being upset rather than an old grandpa |
Good Charlotte – The Story Of My Old Man Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Well, GC fans must know by now that B & J had a turbulent relationship with their wino dad. So this song is pretty much the story about him, and how the two hope that their Dad will regret what he did. |
Good Charlotte – Say Anything Lyrics | 15 years ago |
It's about arguing with someone very close. The singer knows it's pretty much the end, but is hanging onto that one last hope... begging the other person to reconsider while that hope lasts. |
Good Charlotte – Ghost of You Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I think Billy sung at the end... he also did the art of The Chronicles of Life and Death. Talented kid! Well, he's not really a kid anymore... Um, anyway, this song is about the grief of loss. Death can be confusing because the person OBVIOUSLY isn't physically there, but yet you have so many memories of them so it feels like they're still around. So that's where the "ghost" element comes in... the ghost being the memories that "haunt" the singer. So the ghost is all the singer has left to hold, and when he wakes up, he realises that it was all a trance and the person is gone forever... I think this is my favourite CoLaD song. SOS is pretty good too. |
Good Charlotte – Complicated Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I used to think it was "isn't THAT an obligation to care" rather than DAD. I haven't read the lyric book in AAAAAGES so who knows? Yeah, when I first heard it, I thought it was about a girl, but then I'm like, "Nah, this has to be about B and J's s***ty father." Well, it can be interpreted how you like, but the point of this website is to figure what the lyricist meant, I suppose. |
Good Charlotte – Change Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Seafood? LOL Now when I listen to it... I've had this album for ages... Anyway, it's unquestionably about unrequited love. |
Good Charlotte – Boys & Girls Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I love how the Good Charlotte section has a severe lack of lyrical interpretation- people rather argue about the legitimacy of the genre or the band's musical ability. Or basically if they like the band or not. Which is fine, but you know, some go too far... I don't care that they're pretending to be hardcore! Who cares? They make music- and what music you think is good or bad is up to you... that's the greatest thing about music tastes. Definitely and obviously a song about the superficiality of people. Pretty much talking about how the hot dumb girls like the rich guys. Amazingly true in most cases. |
Good Charlotte – Bloody Valentinte Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Good Charlotte is OK... I used to be totally in love with them when I was 11~13... hee hee Anyway, this song is pretty self-explanatory. Boy kills girl's boyfriend, and tries to win her heart by consoling her. In the end, his conscience compels him to tell her the truth (gorily, might I add). |
Bardot – Asap Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Agreed. They did last long for a band from Popstars I suppose you won't know these gals unless you're a huge Sophie Monk fan or you live/d in Australia |
Paris Hilton – Fightin Over Me Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Paris, Paris, Paris... You never fail to amuse me. |
Paris Hilton – Do Ya Think I'm Sexy Lyrics | 15 years ago |
With every other celebrity, you run out of stuff to laugh about them for, but Paris keeps a consistent "update," if you will, of things to make fun of her about. I hate Paris Hilton, but I need something to laugh at at the same time. |
Paris Hilton – Screwed Lyrics | 15 years ago |
If were to critique this song, I'd be here day. It'd be quicker to say something I like about this song... Um... the lame-but-funny (probably) unintentional allusion the title has to a famous aspect of Paris' life? |
Scott Cain – I'm Moving On Lyrics | 15 years ago |
How can this site not have one of the greatest [coughlamestcough] songs of all time? I was appalled! Hey Bogan Buddy, if you're reading this, I've done it! The tail has wagged the dog? LOL Please. What meaning is there to interpret? The song is about someone who has copped emotional abuse. Now that he has left his partner, he feels happy and free. Duh. |
N.E.R.D. – Lapdance Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Awesome song! I heard it in The Girl Next Door... |
Britney Spears – Womanizer Lyrics | 15 years ago |
The meaning is very obvious, I suppose. I LOVE THIS SONG! Circus is a great album, but not as good as Blackout. Catchy as hell. You can totally sing and dance to this! |
Britney Spears – Radar Lyrics | 15 years ago |
This song is great! It's my fave on Blackout as well! I love the dance-pop direction of this album! I don't care what anybody says, but Britney is awesome. Vocally talented? Not sure. |
Paris Hilton – Turn It Up Lyrics | 15 years ago |
LOL elcapitanloco, brilliant review and analysis! Again, just like "Stars are Blind," I can't get into this song. The lyrics consistently put me off. |
Paris Hilton – Stars Are Blind Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Errr... why are some people acting like Paris Hilton is the only person in the music industry that uses digital enhancement? You god damn "hardcore" rockers (not all of you, but some) think only your musical genre is absolute and that no other contains any talent. No talent in pop/RnB? What about Justin Timberlake? He's won Grammy Awards. He can sing, dance, write and sometimes compose music. Mariah Carey is also in pop and RnB, and she's a star! Her voice is matched by very few people. Just because they don't play electric guitar, it doesn't make them untalented! Don't get me wrong, I hate Paris Hilton just like anybody else, but I'm not narrow-minded enough to single out one "musical artist" for taking advantage of modern technology. Rock uses it as well, to make guitar sound better (and in some cases, remove unwanted "twangs" and "echoes"). Do you have any idea how much different Gerard sounds live? No one disses him! (BTW I like My Chem!) Avril Lavigne is also a good example. The pop genre is fast making good use of technology... in my opinion, it's almost dominated by dance pop. Not that that's a bad thing, since I like it... I just don't think of this song highly because I can't get into it. The synth is pretty catchy, but still, the lyrics put me off. When you critique a song, give a good reason other than the singer's personal life or modern technological enhancements that ALL stars make use of today! |
