I mean I know alot of songs are open to interpretation by the listener. But I cant see this as being one of them. It seems pretty straight forward ya know? |

I think it is supposed to be "every rook and jay AND corvidae's been raving about me too". A corvidae is a bird, not a place. |

It is funny. But i think the line is supposed to be "every rook and jay AND corvidae's been raving about me too" a Corvidae is a type of bird. |

I can know thats the wrong interpretation because nothing in the song would make you think that. Its a pretty simple and obvious interpretation. And your right some songs are open for interpretation but some are just obvious. This being one of them. Its not about two different people, its about love and hate they are just personified. And when love is gone hate is there. You can gather that because of what hate is up to while love is gone. Then when love returns we see a complete 180 in hate and hes apologetic and loving once again. Another way to tell if an interpretation is correct is if it is true in real life. DMV's interpretation happens occasionaly but not all the time. So why would they write a song with a meaning thats not neccessarily true? And you can say no one knows but they knew when they wrote it so there must be just one meaning. And its pretty obvious what that meaning is. |

I think you missed it DMV. LifeisAsong got it right. Without love there is only hate. But love can overcome hate. Nice try tho. |

The taxi driver line is pretty simple. When someone witnesses an act of love or experiences love its joyful and all that but when its over theres fear it will never happen again. |
