Antony and the Johnsons – Epilepsy Is Dancing Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Professor M, you are exactly right. At least, that's exactly what I got from the stanzas. Each represents a different experience of someone with epilepsy might have. I happen to have epilepsy (complex partial seizures) where I have this extreme deja vu feeling that is overwhelming. It sounds weird but that's the best way to explain it. And I also get auras, which are a warning of an oncoming seizure (I am on medication now so no worries :) it's been 1 year and 3 months and not a single seizure). But anyway...the stanzas are, I think, different experiences someone has or some people have when they are having a seizure. Visions, feelings of it passing, the sometimes violent shaking that occurs...which by the way, you shouldn't stop the person from convulsing if they are doing so. Common mistake. *Thumbs Up* |

Wow, sleepersesque that is an amazing analogy. I've read that book too. God so sad. But I agree. The red is such a vivid and important color in that novel and in this song as well. As a side note, I love McCarthy's use of archaic words. I love those! Haha Awesome. |
