fun. – Some Nights Lyrics 11 years ago
I also agree with this interpretation but also echo RosyIRL - I think the line "I still wake up, I still see your ghost" refers to either himself (the ghost of his old self before the 10 years of struggling as a musician had changed him) or his original band The Format.

"My heart is breaking for my sister and the con that she called "love"
But when I look into my nephew's eyes,
Man you wouldn't believe, the most amazing things, that can come from,
Some terrible nights"

I think this line is a little different too. Because the song is called "Some Nights" and he's basically talking about the internal struggle and conflict he faces on some nights, here I think he is bringing it full circle by saying his heart is breaking for his sister's lousy situation, but look at the good (his nephew) that came from a "terrible" night (the night his sister made a 'mistake' with her ex). All in all, by alluding to his wonderful nephew, he's saying his own struggle will be worth it in the end.

Gnarls Barkley – Crazy Lyrics 13 years ago
I think that X643 and stoned philosopher are spot on - this song is about mental illness, in particular bi-polar.

C Lo says on his youtube page that the song is indeed about mental illness.

A close relative of mine has bipolar and his experiences are line by line identical to the song.

Having the time of you life, but needing to think twice - mania feels good, but manic o behaviors almost always get you into trouble.

And when you're out there, without care
Yeah, I was out of touch
But it wasn't because I didn't know enough
I just knew too much

As stoned philosopher said, people with bipolar can be delusional. If they are experiencing delusions or psychosis they often believe they have special knowledge of the universe or know things about god that others do not.

I used to think this song was about depression, spirituality, etc. but once I experienced my relative going through a severe manic episode I have no doubt that's what this song is about.

Dirty Little Rabbits – Hello Lyrics 14 years ago
I think she is talking about rekindling a relationship with someone from her past, from a time when she felt herself and had people around who loved and understood her.

At some point, things started changing and she ended up in a situation where she was out of her element (with the wrong group of friends, maybe strung out on drugs, depression, etc.), but something happened where she just wasn't being herself.

Her friend helps her remember who she is, either by just being there for her or else helping her come off drugs. He helps her come "home" as she mentions several times in the lyrics.

The reason I think it might be drugs is because of these lines:
"Dragged me from a drug", "I was so far out of my head", "colors and people moving way too fast"

I prefer to think it was a situation in which she was with the wrong crowd/in a bad place in life, but only because i went through a time like that myself and I can relate :)

Weezer – Heart Songs Lyrics 15 years ago
I have a hard time believing the baby reference was the pixies just because of the year, and the fact that when he sings this part, he starts singing like Kurt Cobain too.

Anyone figure this one out for sure yet?

TOTALLY AGREE. I will be listening to weezer again finally. This album actually stands up to the blue album and pinkerton.

It's amazing.. I agree with thewordofrashi - move over bohemian rhapsody!

I like this whole album. I feel like it is of similar quality to the blue album and pinkerton, finally.
