Tori Amos – Winter Lyrics 13 years ago
I would have to agree with you, Mary Jo. Beautiful interpretation and well thought out.

Morrissey – Thats How People Grow Up Lyrics 13 years ago
Yes! Love it. I love how Morrissey can sing with such indifference, matter-of-fact-ness, or even humor, about such harsh things. Just one of the many elements in his music that I appreciate.

Peter Murphy – Cuts You Up Lyrics 13 years ago
Very interesting. I feel the exact opposite for some reason. For years I felt the song was about life in general, but now that I take another look at it, maybe it's love? You could literally replace the word "It" with either life or love, and it makes good sense.

At any rate, it's a great piece of work that laways seems to cheer me up.

Favorite line, "To follow it you must be clean, with mistakes that you do mean"

If you like this song, you've got to check out the performance from Live Aid back in '85. Watch it, and you'll appreciate Midge's talents even more. Amazing performance.

James – Out to Get You Lyrics 13 years ago
Awesome tune, and in my opinion one of the saddest songs about lost love. I love the guitar effect that is used especially in the beginning of the song. Reminds me of a person weeping!

Check out the intros to this song and "Time After Time", by Cyndi Lauper. Strangely similar.

Sinead O'Connor – You Made Me The Thief Of Your Heart Lyrics 15 years ago
Sweet, first comment...I just discovered this song recently, and loved it from the first time I heard it. In this song, I think it's pretty obvious that she kills her lover, a "cold" and "hard" man, that she couldn't make happy. So she took his life and stole his heart. If you like this song, check out "Porcelain" by Better Than Ezra.

James – Born Of Frustration Lyrics 15 years ago
I think this song is largely about religion. The most obvious clue is "Who put brown owl eyes on the butterfly’s wings"
"Who gave the leopards spots and taught the birds to sing"
There's several other lines that hint at religion as well. Anyway, that's my 2 cents. Beautiful song, nevertheless. By far, my favorite song by James.
