The Everybodyfields – Leaving Today Lyrics 15 years ago
In an interview with Sam and Jill they said a lot of the songs on this album are about when they were fighting and they had to move to different parts of the country. And a lot of the songs are about that. So I'd say that this is about how Jill felt that Sam didn't really care about her at this time and that she wishes he'd realize she is important to him. I am not sure, I am not so sure they are even an item. I always thought no, but who knows. If its about some other guy, who is this dude that keeps hurting Jill? She's awesome.

The Everybodyfields – Aeroplane Lyrics 15 years ago
This song is so good. Meaning seems to be a bit tricky. Love all their work though.

I think the start of the second stanza is about "blood on the hands" its a way of him saying he let go of his responsibility to how things ended.

Matt Pond PA – Jefferson Lyrics 15 years ago
Jefferson is a small town in northern New Hampshire with a population slightly higher than 1,000. New Hampshire is "the Granite State". And the number of stairs, 89 and 93 are the two major highways in New Hampshire. "and the boarder of the Granite State, we're a river a part". The western boarder of NH is the Connecticut River. So maybe in the song, he has a lover in Vermont, which is on the other side of the River.

Hammock – What Heaven Allows Lyrics 15 years ago
Really good song. I think it's about discovering oneself and thinking deep about yourself. Stepping back and re-evaluating yourself. So good.

Hammock – ... Like Starlight Into Day Lyrics 15 years ago
If I can remember correctly- in an interview I read with Marc Byrd he said that this was about a close friend who had committed suicide. Hence "You threw yourself away". This song is pretty powerful.
