Fall Out Boy – 20 Dollar Nose Bleed Lyrics | 15 years ago |
"There's a more in-depth reference to that in another song, but I can't think of it at the moment, it's by third eye blind" Semi-Charmed Life is about crystal meth. I don't know if that is what you were talking about, but that's the only 3eb song i can think of right now that's about drugs. |
Owl City – West Coast Friendship Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I love this song so much, especially since I have a lot of friends on the west coast. "It's quite clear that I'm stuck here So I'll devise a plan And cut out a door in my new living room floor The porch light is so bright That I will quickly sneak down the dark metal shape Of the rusty fire escape" This verse especially means a lot to me, because I feel stuck where I am and I want to escape to the west coast. |
Cobra Starship – It's Warmer in the Basement Lyrics | 15 years ago |
This is a very creepy, stalkerish song. The first time I heard it, I didn't pay attention to the lyrics and I was like "I love this song!" Then I listened to it, and yeah, it's catchy, but as I said before, very creepy. "You can't escape now I've got you locked inside this room You know I tip good And soon, you will love me too Don't be upset now You know I get angry too Don't make me hurt you It's true, no one hears you in this room" -Basically him saying that he kidnapped her, and he's going to make her love him. And it sounds like he has an abusive nature and a very quick temper. "Open up your eyes I want to watch you cry Come on come on The camera's on" -sort of sadistic... "Now I'm a changed man But as a boy I was so true The world can't protect you Not like money will" -He's saying he was "made" to be this type of person, probably because he depended on someone to protect him or something and then he was let down, but he realizes that money can protect him. "You want some bread now?" -That makes me think of the stereotypical bread and water diet of prisoners. And I don't think this is about Gabe, but rather an allusion to something like stixx said or he just made up this character. |
The Friday Night Boys – High School Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Pretty much what everyone already said, but the lines "But I'm waking up, here next to you I'll be thinking to myself what the hell did I do" makes me think of this scenario: He ran into her at a club, they got a little tipsy, slept together, and that line is him waking up and instantly regretting it. After that one night stand, he realizes that she isn't good enough for him, so he finally moves on. |
The Downtown Fiction – Is Anybody Out There? Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Yeah, the singer's name is Cameron. He's an amazing guy. I was so excited to find out that TDF is on songmeanings.net. I've been a fan since the beginning :) |
Panic! at the Disco – It's Almost Halloween Lyrics | 15 years ago |
It's pretty self explanatory, it's a Halloween party, a guy gets drunk and goes to a graveyard with a girl, and they had a one night stand... or was it a dream? Love this song, and the music video's great. I need to learn that dance. =] |
