I pretty much agree with comments here. I just notice the song has a Mafia sound to it as well not sure if they just used it or it means more. Epic song though definitely powerful messages. |

This song always gives me an image using my past experiences. I think of a person usually a girl, since I listen to the Scarling version more lol no I am not a girl just like that version more and that one has more feeling. They are sitting in a class or cafeteria being insulted by someone who is popular and everyone around them all joining it and they are a total outcast. Time slows down with smiles and laughing at the creep/victim, people throwing things constantly, while they are staying totally still with a neutral face while they think to themselves basically about this song's lyrics. I experienced this everyday of my life until college since I don't talk much. This song just gives me such a strong mental image. I heard Radiohead made this as a joke and tried to screw up with it but it turned out even better when Scarling made a serious version. Just my thought of this song. |

I heard this song is supposed to symbolize a person having to act normal around people all the time when he doesn't want to. Something like that, the music video basically is self explanatory then with the man's sexual desire it shows of him in bondage but he has to suppress it for society all the time to be 'normal'. I can relate to this but not the sexual aspect, society's a bitch and you slip up acting out of the ordinary you get looked upon pretty badly I find. |

Ever since my first relationship and lack of friends because I don't interact enough, this song basically explains how I've felt all this time and my feelings are my own. In a forever deadlock and I feel very numb but I try not to act that way, I hide my true feelings since a lot of people don't like it so I listen to others more.
Your supposed to be able to regain that passion and break out again but it's been 4 years or more, I still feel how this song explains it & your words. All I can do is suppress it on my own and remain quiet & think about everything not grasping things it comes back randomly. I can live with it but I don't interact much due to this or think I deserve friends? I like how you explained it here though. I've gone through it on my own to survive, still am feeling it now. Suicide's obviously not a thought, not like that. I'm just wandering, sounds emo but it's not really like that now it's much more than that. Thanks silentexclamation you explained it well, you do seem to understand it. |

To me this song sounds like a situation I'm in with a past relationship, I feel depressed and want them back all the time, and see the world as dull or unhappy without. While the other has done the opposite happy and lots of friends dating etc. and enjoys life, it just makes me think of that a lot and he says it's not too late for him, maybe to get out of his moping and live his life in happiness. Might be different but to me that's what it sounds like I can relate to it if it is like that. |
