Morrissey – We'll Let You Know Lyrics

I don't know that he's a "massive" football fan, but you can tell he's a bit obsessed about hooliganism which was at its height in the 80s. He's always wearing a West Ham shirt at live concerts, but he says he supports Manchester United.
BTW, "I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles", the song from Oi! band Cockney Rejects, has been played countless times on his "pre-concert" tape mixes. That song is the main chant of West Ham supporters who are famous for being one of the most violent in the country. |

I love the harmony in this song. The chorus ia a joy to behold, a weird one, yet I can't stop listening to it. |

Suede – You Belong To Me Lyrics

This is one of the most underrated songs by Suede in my opinion. Why they chose to bury the track (it's hidden) remains a mystery to me - this is Suede at their best. It's really cacthy and could have been a top single. |

The Sundays – Love Lyrics

I remember spotting this song on a VHS I left recording MTV accidently overnight, back in 96... I was a teen and was very depressed that day - but then I saw the video for "Love"... Probably my favourite Sundays song ever. |

The Sundays – Gone Lyrics

This is one of my favorites.
She's reminiscing the old days of our youth, and what happens as we become adults.
The last paragraph, however, seems to imply that she'll "still be here", maybe meaning her immaturity or lack of capacity/motivation to grow, because while she knows these days are gone, she still clings to them.
Just my interpretation. |

I remember this song was huge back then, I was a pre-teenager and it we always danced with the girls to it. Fun and relatively innocent times :) |
