I think you hit the nail on the head. I agree with the anger part.. I love the line:
"I took my hand out of my pocket up came a fist"
You can hear her voice almost shaking as she sings it.. like she's singing it with a scowl. It's nuts how much emotion she can subtly inject into her lyrics. |

I'm not sure what he meant when he wrote it, but several points in the song referring to a long confusing struggle where one forgets why they are struggling. It also seems kind of like a love song.
I know people try to relate the volcano to dyanetics, but it sounds like he's referring to a particular event. Does anybody know if the girl jumping into the volcano is actually real? I love how he wonders if she was tryin to make it back 'into the womb of the world'
