Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds – Stagger Lee Lyrics 15 years ago
This is possibly my favourite piece of Nick Cave poetry of all his work. I wish I could say 'I'm the bad mothafucker called Sagger Lee' like Nick does. It would make me a real man, I reckon.

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds – Easy Money Lyrics 15 years ago
I also agree, and this makes the song so much more brutal. I believe Nick is singing as a desperate man who whores himself out to provide for his family and 'Easy Money' refers to the ostensible simplicity of this action, while showing how it is a terrible state to be in.
Sorry to be graphic, but to further the male point; I think 'Face pressed in the clover' creates a sense that this person is being penetrated from behind - as a man would be. Nick Cave was never one for being delicate.

Radiohead – Idioteque Lyrics 15 years ago
This is a song generally about the apocalypse or end-of-the-world. Be it through man's own hand (nuclear destruction -"bunker") or nature ("ice age coming") Thom is echoing the words of scientists who warn of impending environmental disaster when he says "we are not scaremongering". He is also pointing out mankind's greedy, materialistic concrens when faced with the end of the world: Not to try and prevent it, but to cling on their wealth and useless technology as apocalypse approaches.
Great song live when they turn it into a drum'n bass rave-up.
