This song is too amazing. It's like... I have never been in a relationship, but I feel every word of this song. I feel every emotion as if this sort of thing has happened to me. For me, that's what music should be. It should a universal language that can be understood by anyone and everyone, regardless of whether you can relate to it or not.
That's why "End of Heartache" rates as one of my favourite songs ever. |

As for the meaning, I remember hearing an interview with Jesse Clegg on 5FM, and he said this song is about when you're having a rough day and what not. The first two verses show how the person feels really lonely and a bit hopeless- like these sad feelings are all he has, so he'll just let them be.
Then the chorus is a means of encouraging that person to "step into the sun"- to not stay in this gloomy state, but to see that everything's alright because all the other bad days he's had have disappeared like rain, ie they didn't last forever.
Then the next two verses show how the person hopes that tomorrow will much better than today. And finally, the bridge shows, I think, how the person doesn't want to be the only one to feel this way.

It's such a pity these dudes broke up because I have a feeling I would have loved some more of their music. LOVE this song to bits.
I think maybe it's about two people who were together and, like, things got a bit messed up. And whenever this oke looks at photographs with his ex, either he feels guilty or he sees his ex as guilty. I think it's his ex though 'cause he doesn't sound regretful in the rest of the song. Whatever. |

It's funny: they use the dying words of Jesus... and then there's the line "I don't think in my SELF-RIGHTEOUS SUICIDE". It's always been said that Jesus died for us; he could've bailed out, but he died for us that we can be united with the Father or something like that. And Jesus has said stuff like that in the Bible... and I think that may possibly be the self-righteous suicide that's being spoken about. I don't know...? |

Uh.. I don't like it, i'm sorry. I understand what her aim is, but some parts are just stupid and the melody is plain repetitive. The difference between the verse and chorus melody is that she sings the chorus in a higher octave, but its the same damn thing. |
