To me, the whispers sound like "You get to call the shot." |
Dream Theater – The Test That Stumped Them All Lyrics | 14 years ago |
The line "To save him from himself" obviously points at this guy being schizophrenic, or possibly a megalomaniac. I'm not entirely sure about the first part of the song, with the whole rockstar show or whatever. That kind of also could point at megalomania or schizophrenia. Examples: Schizophrenia - His "alter ego" believes he is a rockstar, his other is not. Something like that. Megalomania - He believes he is the greatest but he's not. He thinks highly of himself. "Hoping to find in me, the answers to the test that stumped them all" would refer to his disorder, whatever it is. The doctors are trying to find out what he has. I'm pretty sure lots of you knew that though :P My two cents. |

Coheed and Cambria – The Running Free Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Sounds like someone escaping from jail to me. You’ve come so far from innocence Provided all the consequence, Only what does it matter now? Maybe the person was guilty in court and the consequence was jail. "Only what does it matter now?" could refer to someone escaping so it wouldn't matter. "What was your motive" The reason to do something illegal? 'Cause you’re going home, You’re running free, As only you would be if you never owed them anything. And now you’ve found your way out. "And now you've found your way out" maybe found a way to escape from a jail? And running free. I know that's kinda crazy but it does sound like someone trying to escape from jail or something. XD |
