| I think that this song could be about two men talking. One obviously about his woman. It sounds like he is telling the other man how there are better ways to enjoy, dream etc.. than women maybe? It's a very dark song and along with the club scene (dub, party) it connotates strongly about something dark which we normally label as drugs or sex. He very rarely directly refers to women in this song. Open mindedness dictates we must consider he's talking about pleasure in a different way. | |

This song is a masterpiece. There's a lot to consider and fit together. Obviously there is some link to greek mythology. Maybe he is comparing something to the legend of Orestes. 'Umbilical Residue, keeping me from killing you' That sounds like the fact this person comes from the same umbilical chord (mother) is the only reason they won't kill them. The only thing strong enough for him to ignore what his sibling has done is blood. One womb (Same mother) One chain (Same thing holding them both?) One resolve (One way to solve or end something) Metaphor for a missing moment' links with One more medicated peaceful moment' This is obviously indicating the fact that the peaceful moments are fake and that he has to create something fake (metaphor) to cover up the moments he's missed because of whatever he's doing to force a peaceful moment (although very generic, maybe drugs) Gotta Cut away, clear away Slip away and sever this Umbilical residue Keeping me from killing you I think this might be connotating suicide because it does say 'One resolve'. It maybe that the only way to end whatever's going on is to commit suicide because we've already got the message that he can't kill the person. I'm totally clueless to the rest lol. Any ideas? I'm finding it hard to piece together |

It's so annoying that people are taking these carefully weaved words and passing them off as generic stories of love. To me, this song is about someone trying to understand and get the attention of someone. However, this person has either built a wall or is pushing the writer away. In the end it sounds as if he's giving in which is why he sings 'You don't see me' in the way he does along with the repetition of the line. There is obviously endless amounts you can say about this piece :) |

| I think this is definitly hinting about some kind of relationship aspect - maybe not love. 'Why can't this Kiss be true' has connotations of him wishing that what he is getting could be real and not like forced and fake. It's kind of like someone is appeasing him but he knows there is nothing there. There is so much to think about with these lyrics its really hard to pick up lol | |
