To me it actually sounds romantic too. Like, nothing matters except the couple. "you and i on the outside" and "we've got the same heart" All this horrible things going on in the world don't bother them. |

Okay, No idea what this so is about. If i have to take a guess , i would say it is about not beleiving in an after life. Saying "there is only pieces of me" . Like only a body. Also, like he asks whats the use in trying? Like why try and live by relgion if he can't believe or 'can't see' in an after life. But it is amazing to listen to. I love it. |

i love the build up to this song, the whole first few minutes is slow and then it just goes insane! it always makes me cry. its so amazing! but, i cannot interpret it, because to me it is so so deep. and can have many different meanings. Loveeeeeee it! |

i think it is about drugs. "I don't want to be the one who rides flame I don't know her name I don't want to go where the seekers all go I don't want to go" - First is so anti-drugs. seekers all go, to get new experiences etc. "You can feel anything you want to feel (x2) and call it real but I don't want to be the one who rides flame (x2)]" -whatever he feels while on drugs will just be like artificial to him. "I can't complain though I'm wrapped up in chains I can't complain everybody's got the right to be free but that's not me" - people beleive drugs take them to another place another world, but he is so tied down to his life that he believes he should just accept it. "Hit the flame, burn a hole in my brain never be the same try to take it slow, but she's pushing me to go where I don't want to go" -and finally he takes the drugs. flame can be referring to the kind of drug. but burn a hole in his brain could be killing of brain cells or any effects drugs have, and now that he has experienced it he will never be the same, the girl (possibly girlfriend) is still pushing him to do more or continue it. and the end sounds like regret, GREAT SONGGGGGGGG! |

well, i have read Go Ask Alice, and it never occured to me to relate it to this song, but it does apply. drugs sound crazy from that perspective. then there is Alice In Wonderland haha, which is what i thought this song to be about. and i like how nickzilla720 mentioned The Matrix, i would have never though of that! but all in all its about drugggggs |

druggggs. he sounds like he is on a major trip with all the weird lyrics haha. but i suppose "slide" refers to actually taking the drugs. "when im sad i slide" "i have always grown my own before" and there is plenty of sniffing sounds haha. i love thing song though! |

this song is great! it sounds to me like the singer is a soilder of some kind, and he is destroying a town. "And this dirt was a building before Shut it down before they opened the door" and he is singing about how the city "is no friend of mine" showing no remorse. "What is passed, we'll just leave it behind" and again. im not sure though... it could be something alot deeper. |

haha this is the greatest song ever! !! i read story of the eye and it is very graphic! but i agree with panda5119 and think that is would be an amazing conversation to have with a random person. becuase i havent met anyone who has read it or even heard of it. so many of the lines in this song just blow me away, "Somehow you've red-rovered the gestapo circling my heart And nothing can defeat you No death, no ugly world" favourite. oh and did anyone else notice "i've played the unraveler" then goes on to say "im all, all unraveld" |
