Johnny Foreigner – Salt, Peppa and Spinderella Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Real lyrics: We walk out like lions, short on prey and move noisily towards the gate. All pride, how wide are my eyes? Are you hungry now? Are you hungry now? We like to watch the fights break out, an ending creep from these cheap plastic seats, and hold each other a little closer. We've got a place for the night, what are you worried about? We've got our answerphones, are you hungry now, are you hungry for? caught a shot, but my heart's still bleeding... |
Vampire Weekend – Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa Lyrics | 16 years ago |
They just released the video for it today: http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&VideoID=39650345 Ps, what do you mean they don't say 'fuck'? Isn't it sort of obvious the song says it? |
Tilly and the Wall – Rainbows in the Dark Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I love this song. I sort of liked it for a while, but then I actually listened to the words. Surprisingly powerful. Everyone's pretty much dead on, in my opinion. It's about growing up as a middle-class kid. And as someone mentioned before, it covers EVERYTHING. "The eyes of my grandfather right before dying..." hits home for me, because I watched my Grandma die, and saw the look in her eyes. It's something powerful, and while I don't recommend it to anyone for obvious reasons, it's something you don't easily forget. Rainbows in the dark... think about it. Life is a dark, dark place. But every once in a while, a rainbow shines through and gives you a little bit of happiness. I think this song also looks at everyday life and finds happiness in it. |
Tilly and the Wall – Cacophony Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I doubt this song has anything to do with Christianity. The 'left right blessing' as the sign of the cross DOES make sense. But that's pretty much is. And in case anyone was wondering what Cacophony means, it's like a loud, unorganized, unmanaged sound. i.e. what Manhattan traffic sounds like, amusement parks on busy nights, or a sportsbar. |
Calvin Harris – Acceptable in the 80s Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I was glad someone else noticed the age of consent thing. This song was released in '07. If you were born in 1990, you would have been 17 years old. Thus, being born in AT LEAST '89 would have made you 18, thus legal. But isn't the age of consent 16 or 17 in the UK? |
Calvin Harris – The Girls Lyrics | 16 years ago |
He's probably a virgin. Ha, kidding. In the uncensored song, he actually says "living life to fuck around and play." And someone told me he says "hoes" somewhere inthe song, but I haven't heard it. |
Be Your Own Pet – Becky Lyrics | 16 years ago |
1. Becky isn't the best friend. Becky is the new best friend of the ex-best friend. "But I didn't know you made one for Becky..." why would she make herself a bff bracelet? 2. The lyric is "But I didn't know you made one for Becky Facelift." Becky's facelift doesn't make sense. She's saying she can't believe that her friend would make one for a girl like Becky. Come on, haven't you ever called someone you don't like by an adjective? "I hate Richard Booger-eater." or "Sally Sleepsaround." Calling her Becky Facelift just means she thinks the girl had plastic surgery/thinks the girl is shallow. |
Johnny Foreigner – Salt, Peppa and Spinderella Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I love this song so much. It's like a summer anthem. Going into the city and sleeping on random peoples' floors after house parties. "We've got a place for the night, what are you worried about?" Just reminds me of living for the moment. Plus, I'm addicted to songs where the singers make "doo doo doo" sounds. |
The Mighty Boosh – Pelt the Rabbit Lyrics | 16 years ago |
The thing is, you never know when he's going to come- When he's going to arrive; easy! |
Feist – La Même Histoire Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song will forever remind me of sitting on a beaten-up sofa in an old, broken-down theatre watching Paris Je T'aime and crying. |
The Elected – Greetings in Braille Lyrics | 16 years ago |
The first line reminds me alot of the Buddhist belief that to reach true nirvana (death) you have to have all of your senses fail. |
Chrisette Michele – Love Is You Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I agree. I'm seriously stunned there aren't more comments. It's absolutely breathtaking, and it makes me want to hurry up and find the right guy and get married so we can dance to this at our wedding. Anyone who's felt real love (whether it be for a spouse, sibling, child, parent, friend, or pet) knows that this is exactly how you feel. |
Neil Sedaka – Alice In Wonderland Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song is cute. |

Some By Sea – The Saddest Christmas Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This is probably my favorite song of all time. I think most people can relate to it, and I'm relieved I'm not the only one who feels like this around the holidays. |
Mika – Overrated Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I think it's one of the most beautiful songs ever, on the contrary. |
Mika – Lover Boy Lyrics | 16 years ago |
It's not all that bad. Sarah-Stagedive is my old account, but my email address on it got shut down and I forgot the password. Anyway, it's kind of catchy. |
Mika – Holy Johnny Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Hi Kourtney. |
Vampire Weekend – Oxford Comma Lyrics | 16 years ago |
But the oxford comma really IS important in English. I always get frustrated when people don't use it in it's proper place. "How are you splitting your money up among charities?" "One third goes to The Epilepsy Foundation, another third to The School for Epilepsy and the Epilepsy Center" That's a poor example, but see how it makes it sound like you're splitting one third between two charities? |
