| Amazing way to start off the album.. In my opinion, thee best song on the album.. I took it as him kind of "letting go" of his music self.. He feels like the World is against him, or his label is against him, and at the same time his fans were angry that his album wasn't dropping.. His label didn't like his original songs for LASERS cuz of the content, so they forced him to make some studio cuts instead.. He doesn't have full control of what he puts out anymore so he's like, why keep doing this, if it aint authentic.. At least that's what I thought.. | |

Man, one of my favorite tracks of all time.. Point, blank, period.. They speakin real talk, no boo shi, like most of tha music you hear nowadays.. Favorite song off the album, hands down.. Prolly listen to it 50 times a day.. Hahaha.. But, its sick how its such a meanigful song, but he throws it at you low key, with short verses and less difficult words (i guess).. Its pretty obvious what the verses are all about but ill throw it in there.. 1st: Rape, 2nd: Drug Abuse, 3rd: Illegal Immigration (Not from a specific place, just immigration as a whole) but sick song, great message.. Son, wrote tha song to be interpreted different ways to different people.. Cant say that anyone is really wrong just gotta shed your own thoughts on the joint.. Personally, this is like my 3rd favorite track on the CD & when i first heard it i already thought of the character, Tha Streets..'Dollar signs in her eyes and semen on her breath'.. She has been around forever & basically carries tha HIV virus.. If you look in The Cool booklet, youll see she has names tattoed on her from 4eva ago, such as King Tut, & Michael Young History.. But ne way, when the prelude starts, it says 'And shes out there smiling', and in the chorus it states 'death is on the tip of her tongue and dangers on the tip of her fingers'.. It cleary is talking about a fictional woman whos bringing all this destruction.. But my interpretation is that the song talks about HIV and how the Media and government tries to cover the problems up in the world when they dont know whats causing such problem.. But great song, reminds me of Hurt Me Soul off Food & Liquor D.No |

Hands down, best song off Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor.. Lyrically tha man is a genius, which is probably understanding to many if not all of you already.. I like how he started out tha song, basically puttin all tha reasons why he doesn't like hip hop/rap then flippin it like, he can't help but like all tha things he doesn't approve of.. Then, son, knocks on tha door of different problems, not only in America, but tha world.. Sick song.. D.No |
