Antsy Pants – Vampire Lyrics | 15 years ago |
This song makes me think of Edward Cullen out of the Twilight Saga. He has no fangs, and he has serious anger management issues (although he's not really meant to be seen that way). I'd really love it if he was angry because he had no fangs, and didn't think he was a proper vampire because of it. But yeah, I love this song. It's so sweet! |
The Mighty Boosh – The Soup Song Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Did anyone else see the episode of Never Mind The Buzzcocks where Noel took ages to remember the words to this? Love. And yes, it's gazpacho. |
The Mighty Boosh – The Four Way Crimp Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Is it really bad that I know this by heart? I think it is... I love it like a really sugary pie. |
The Mighty Boosh – Love Games Lyrics | 15 years ago |
This song's actually quite creepy, I think, given the context. I mean, Howard's getting himself molested by an obsessive underwater transexual... or maybe I'm trying to be too serious. :) I'd really, really love it if this song was a really roundabout way for Noel and Julian to express their love for one another. Seriously, it would make my life. |
The Mighty Boosh – Fossil Rap Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I think it's "Give him inch, he take a mile," not "heavin' him should take a mile." But I could be wrong. When he's telling them to cut the music, do you think that was scripted or was he seriously telling them to try it again? Either way, it makes me laugh. Love Rich Fulcher. |
Muse – Starlight Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song makes me think of Doctor Who. I think it's about some kind of epic, space-travel romance story. And I think it's beautiful. (Don't mind me, I'm probably incorrect.) |
Howling Bells – Broken Bones Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I think this is just about how she needs the person she's singing about, and if she's not with him it all just goes to hell. Pretty simple, really, but a good song anyway. |
Metric – Too Little Too Late Lyrics | 16 years ago |
There's something quite indefinably sad about this song, I think. I think it's about hedonism, and how in the end we run out of pleasures and it just starts to feel empty. "You can take a live wire into the bath with you for a feeling you can't find," sounds like resorting to desperate measures to get the thrills back. I do think there are probably other meanings, though. I did get the sexual metaphors as well. This song is absolutely wonderful. One of my favourites. |
Laura Marling – Your Only Doll (Dora) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
It seems to me like this song is about an abusive relationship. He sees this girl as his "doll," thinks of himself as her "owner." The slightly scary part is that she sees him the same way. In the end, I think he kills her by hitting her head against a wall. At least, that's what it sounds like to me. |
