I always thought it said 'seams', too. I think it's better that way, kind of more beautiful in a way. It just makes me think of a couple breaking at the seams, either in the way that they're falling apart as a couple, or their falling apart as people, but doing it together. The last one is kind of poetic, in a way. But either way, this is a beautiful song, and an amazing band. |

I agree with Tbrings. I believe that this album is about a kind of skanky sister who's brother has always had feelings for, they finally sleep together because she's just that much of a slut, and then she tyrns on him, causing him to turn to his mother, who already resented the daughter for being so beautiful, ('mother lost her looks to you') and then she goes and murders the daughter out of jealousy, disguising it as protecting her son. But really, it's just like a long- awaited excuse. I really think that all of you who are going shoot down this theory should listen to the album in this frame of mind, it actually makes sense. Seriously, don't just automatically shoot down people's ideas because you're stubborn about your own, you don't have to be so mean jsut because you don't believe the same thing. And Blern needs to go look up In Absentia on Wikipedia, read the article, and then click on the link to Fred West and read that article. Because one of In Absentia's main themes is, indeed, INCEST. |
