I absolutely love this song. It has to be my favourite on the new CD. It seems that a highschool rumour has changed his opinion of a girl he really, really liked. Even though he never believed them until he saw it with his own eyes. |

I love this song...i actually love the entire album. i know the booklets says 'dont know where it ends but it clearly says 'care where it ends' on my version and 'open invitation' also is pretty clearly 'open invite'. pretty nit picky things but yeah. |

| completely cheesy but great. i believe the 'where's Scotty when you need him?' line is a reference to Star Trek, "Beam me up, Scotty" is a common trekkie quote...it makes sense with the 'Star Trek' shrine and everything. | |

Gah i love this song; i have it on repeat =]. I get the feeling it's about a guy who liked a girl, a lot but she didn't reciprocate those feelings, so he writes a song about her, but not for her because of the 'This is not your song' bit, he's basically saying, "yeah i liked you and you enspired me but whatever, im over it". But yeah, cannot wait to see these fellows in september, or for their new album. |

Gah i love this song. Go:audio are amazing, i think they're gonna be huge. I think the meanings pretty obvious; boy doesn't want people to know he was dumped by his girlfriend so he makes up lies to make sure it seems like he ended it or whatever. I guess it relates to relationships in school too, i remember when people split up they always used to claim they had been going to dump them anyway...i like that they write about things everyone deals with. |

| It's not lame it do a cover of a popular song, it would be deemed rather pointless to cover a song no one has ever heard wouldnt it? Plus if it's done well, theres no harm done and i personally think this version is amazing, it's so different but in a good way, though The Killers version will always be my favourite. | |

I guess the meaning is rather blatant, the guys above seemed to have hit the nail on the head. I do love this song, the 'you and him getting more than friendly' bit especially. And i love how he sounds so English; makes me feel proud to be British. =] |
