And then I scrolled down and saw kuper's version, and just out of curiosity I played the chorus again while reading kuper's. And the two versions are totally different, BUT I HEARD THEM BOTH! Yeah I gotta agree with abortion. I mean it really is his recurring theme- what do we have now, two songs that refer to babies inside of her stomachs, and so this would fit nicely. actually i cant remember the second song that had babies inside of her stomach as a lyric, i don't think it's on the CD but it was leaked along with "i can feel a hot one". i find the first verse to be some very clever innuendo, and then: -And we were a bridge on top of bodied water With something left inside you (a baby) -And you sank your self into me - We didn't think that you would actually do it -And you slept the entire drive home (following the procedure) it was you, my sister, and I (like they went with her) I don't think this is such a terrible stretch for an interpretation. |

What is all this mention of babies in her stomachs? This is the second time in two songs that he's said this. Are they both album tracks? What I heard before "godspeed" was talkie-factioned. Definitely factioned, anyway. Or his weird accent saying fashioned. |

I'm not sure if anyone else heard or wrote this but when the chorus kicks in I am very reminded of Archers from their most recent album, "What did you learn tonight?" not only in similar sounding lyrics but the guitars in general Also I think "my signal spikes when sorrows come" makes more sense, but I just don't hear it. I hear single spies. Which makes no sense. otherwise i have no idea what the lyrics mean. so much for songmeanings. |

Four things: This song is partly about crack, for sure, but not a girl forcing him to do it: I think when he says "she", he is simply referring to crack in the feminine third person, then crack killed my brain. It's not uncommon Aerix, your post made me laugh. That's a very deep analysis but I would hardly call it "obvious"... Rather than being about the struggle between being gay or straight, I always thought this song was about gender confusion, sort of like during puberty I guess? And kind of discovering it all. "Waiting for..." is what makes me think of puberty. Also I think besides "Keeping up With the Kids", this is the saddest song he has ever written. |

I really doubt that MSI has a vendetta against Jimmy Page, and it amuses me that people get so worked up about it. Like the quote that someone posted earlier from an interview, it's about being fed up with all these people who say, oh, yeah the old stuff is so good, no one writes anything good anymore. And some of those people are really pretentious, though I'm sure not all of them. Music does not have to be old to be good, and I would not say music as a whole was better or worse than music today. Though you do see that somtimes within specific careers. Just not genres. Music changes. Get over it. |

And I really think this song is about how he could have done something with his life, but instead he settled down and raised a family and now he feels like he wasted his life. "Some other place, I could be real important." And now he's too old to bother with his kids- I'm too old to be keeping up with all the kids. Almost sounds like the song is being sung to his would-be wife. |

| The sites list something similar but it really sounds like he's saying "Why don't baby..."- There is definitely a baby in the there. I thought the lyric was, "Why don't baby drive home anymore, to knock me up and take my funk." Which makes some sort of sense. More than "finish your home anyone"- wtf does that mean? | |
