Los Campesinos! – Hulk Hoegarden, Gin Kinsella, David Duvodkany, Etc Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Infinite laffs at the irony, but this is a Johnny Foreigner song, not a Los Campesinos! one. |
Death Cab for Cutie – Some Boys Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I don't know if it is quite that cut and dry. To an extent, I feel like this is aimed at two kinds of boys, because of the shift in tone from verse 3 to 4. There are those who are confident and aggressive and dangerous (verse 2 & 3), and those who lack those traits, and see that as a kind of personal weakness and internalize it (verse 1 & 4). The catch, though, is that both types still end up sleeping alone. Damn, what a great song. |

Los Campesinos! – A Heat Rash in the Shape of the Show Me State; or, Letters from Me to Charlotte Lyrics | 14 years ago |
She's a friend of the band, who happens to appear in a lot of their lyrics because of her friendship with the group. She also made an amazing cover of Heart Swells/Pacific Daylight Time. http://loscampesinos.com/2009/07/02/bst-gmt1/ |
Los Campesinos! – Who Fell Asleep In Lyrics | 14 years ago |
