I used to like Osker in high school but now that I'm a little older I have fallen a bit out of tune with them. I think that they are more for adolescents. If I were the lead singer (I don't even know his name) I probably would of pulled the plug on this band too. But then again I don't see how it helped him any. Does he have a new band? |

It's true though, we are programmed to be this way and Issac is trying to be more that animal. But what can you do, the human race is everywhere so you kind of have to blend in and make a living. This song and broke are two of my favorite, among many, MM songs. It's some of the most depressing music but nothing else makes me feel so good and mellow, like Grey Ice Water. When I listen to Broke sometimes I forget I exist. That sounds kinda gay though. |

That album is a bit shaky but they turned out to be an excellent band. I saw them in Fargo, ND. They put on a better show then modest mouse and I've seen them twice. Don't get me wrong though modest mouse is my favorite band but their shows are just a bit to loud. The crowd was a lot smaller at bts too. This is one of the better songs on this album I think. I love how he always says thanks after a song. No Doug, Thank You. I don't really understand this song though except the time stuff. Everybody wants time but he doesn't seem to know what he wants. |

Why does everyone seem to think that its about a break up? Why can't it be as simple as the lyrics? I think you guys are trying to hard and minisculexdisease that is a stretch but i don't think anyone else would of thought of that, thats good shit. The live version of this on blackpool lights is stellar. I get goosebumps too. |

I don't think that anyone but Issac or the rest of modest mouse knows what this song is about it could be anything, or whatever you want it to be. Thats the best part of some music, when it means something different to you, and in that sense it kind of becomes unique to the listener. Maybe Issac thought all these songs sucked to much to be the debut album and all the short songs are really just unfinished. One of my all time favorite albums, and i love his innocence and youth in it. Now he just seems angry at the world. |

Summerbabe, I don't think anyone is gonna nail that like you did. This is one of my favorite Pavement songs on crooked rain. I love the marching through Georgia part. It is also cool for a band to write a song that isn't selfish |
