This is a bit far fetched, but I am going to throw it out there....
I always thought
"I think it gonna rain when I die" was linked to the book an unknown god by john stienbeck. In the book there is a drought and the main charator goes nut cause he is a farmer, he loves his land and wants it so desperatly to rain. In the book JS make joesphe wayne(main charotor[spelt wrong/ must excuse I'm hung over] ) as a messian type person. Anyway in the end he kills himself and just as he kills himself it rains.
Maybe that has something ot do with it. Maybe not. I'm hungover and I don't care. |

Wow, this is the best thread ever!! I lol'd the whole time reading it. Paramore does suck. This song has no meaning other than to give 15 year old virgin emo boy posers something to pull their sticks to. The only thing this band has going for them is the fact that the girl is a hot scene chick. Whether you like the band or not, H. Williams is 100% fuckable.

I love people that write "I'm not a racist, but...". If you aren't a racist you know how wrong these lyrics are. There would be no "BUT...." Axl's not that tough. If he was such a tough guy he wouldn't have denied the actual meaning of this song and did so many duets with elton john to prove he's not a homophobe. He would have said "yes, the meanings right there, don't like it, i dont care.". That's one of the things I hate, axl rose is one of the biggest moron in rock n' roll history, but on the contra...one of the greatest frontmans, songwriter and a kickass piano player. I think he's Great musician and I love GN'R(this band was the first band I heard at age 9, I'm 19, and I still love 'em) , but I refuse to be some moronic fan that stand up for his racist, homophobic and womanizing lyrics. Sometimes you have leave the personal feeling at home to REALLY enjoy the music.
Oh and..The acustic guitar solo is great! I can listen to that over and over agian. ^_^ |

I think the story goes: the band was drunk and axl's terrior was running around. They got on the bus forgot about the dog and started the tour bus. The persone that was suppose to be driving- started driving and the dog ran under the wheel by accident.
Axl did kill his dog. And I don't know the exact story but I've heard for years that is infact about the death of his dog. :(
Then again I'm not axl(and niether our the people that told me this). So, nobody knows for certain what the song means. |
