Yeah, this has become my favorite song next to "Learning to Live" by Dream Theater. My ex told me she had AIDS, and didn't really even care. The line "You wouldn't die for me, but I've already died for you" means a lot, I can relate. The first time I heard this song since then I knew exactly what it meant, I wrote a poem about the way it feels with a similar feel. |

This is my new favorite song, I've always heard it, and even did a cover of it. But until me and my girlfriend recently had an argument I didn't understand it too well. She never wants to be sober, and she's always sleeping with her free-time, it breaks my heart but this song reminds me of her so much. |

Cool song, like most from Infinity I wasn't too keen toward it at first, but it grew on me. I like the bass. I always thought it was "I see it's green and you tell me it's red." as opposed to "I say it's green and you tell me it's red." I 'see' it's green to me makes more sense because it's as if the person knows that someone is lying to their face and they're calling the other person out, whereas if it were I 'say' it's green, it would be like they believe that someone is lying to them yet they're unsure. |

This song means a lot to me, my girlfriend was with a teacher twice her age for a while, the long term affect such a relationship can have on a girl is painfully harsh. It's selfish of the teacher, she's just another notch on his belt, it's infectiously perverted if you ask me. Anyway aside from the fact that I can't listen to this song without thinking of that, I like the song, and I've never been too sure if the relationship is mutual between student and teacher, could someone help me out here? |

One last idea, after listening to the song a thrid time just now, I was trying to find connections to other DT songs, and got alot of ideas, however one in particular semmed to fit, and it was a connection to "Goodnight Kiss" musically, not necessarily lyrically. |

Another idea recently dawned on me that this song more specifically could be about once the girl is in purgatory, unable to pay to cross Styx, therefore she is now wandering upon the shore for X amount of years, and this song is the point of view from the guy who's been watching over her since he died trying to save her, and her term wandering Styx is almost over by the end of the song. The last three lines could be the very minutes in which her term is almost over, with a new flow of thought entering her mind, thus leaving an opening for DT to make a continuation on this song. |

This song is my favorite after "Space-Dye Vest". I know it's about one particular incident in which a man saves a woman from drowning, however deeper meaning is derived through the theme, it's fairly vague, as all DT songs are. I need to make a project out of trying to find morse code in it, like ITNOG, but don't have time anymore, so if anyone could refer me to any findings already made that would be great.
"dogmanramie", those three songs you listed are from SFAM, any song off of that album is going to involve Nicohlas and Victoria.
That's what I think of this song, as already mentioned by previous comments, it seems a bit redundant, however I just felt like putting my two sense in. Thunderbolt what do you think of "Through Her Eyes", and Idan, what do you think of it? |

How do I correct lyrics? I happen to be 100% sure that these lyrics have a few mistakes.
For instance where it says "Pull me under, pull me under, pull me under, I'm not afraid..." There should be a semi-colon as opposed to a comma between the third "Pull me under" and "I'm not afraid".
Also in the correct lyrics he doesn't sing "Orders fly and I fall again" he sings "Others fly and I fall again"
Thirdly where it reads:
"This world is spinning around me
The whole world keeps spinning around me
All life is future to past
Every breath leaves me one less to my last"
In the correct version the word "and" is between "spinning around me" and "all life is..."
Lastly where it reads:
"All that I feel is honor and spite
All I can do is set it right"
It should read "honor and spite All I can do is to set it right". Note the "to" between "is and "set".
I know some people may be skeptical about these lyrics, and the last one doesn't sound correct to me as well, however these lyrics are the correct ones.

Sin-é, as a poet and lyricist, I must disagree with you; you are in fact wrong, it is no matter of opinion whether these lyrics are or are not well written. This is fact, maybe if you were to do a bit of studying you would understand, it's like a piece of music, it can sound bad to a good amount of people, however if mathematically it makes sense, than by default it is factualy ''good music''.

This song is very special to me, it is about Portnoy's relationship, or so to speak, with his mother. It is very nice and pleasant to listen to. This song is also directly related to Robert Herrick's poem about virgin's making use of little time. Also there is a very obvious connection to a movie called "Dead Poet's Society" I'm sure some of you may have noticed this. |
