This is a cover...Bunkbed did the original version, which was a pretty unknown band that I assume disbanded after the lead singer died in 2002.

This is hands down, my favorite Xiu Xiu song ever written. It works for me on so many levels...I love the part where he asks if "joe's" pants ever fall off. It is such a beautiful way to describe desire. And the menage-et-trois part to me is like this complete surrender for another person, like he'll do whatever they want, even if it's subversive and dirty. I could probably talk about this song for hours, but I love all versions of the song because to me, the lyrics are so important Jamie could just sit there and read them and I'd enjoy it.

I read in an interview that Jamie said the lyrics to this song were taken from a series of text messages he sent/recieved with a particular person, which is probably why it sounds a little disjointed. I wish I got text messages like that.
