Queens of the Stone Age – No One Knows Lyrics | 16 years ago |
yeah mama duck for shizzle. Its just confusing to not know anything. You fall in with the sheep but still wonder if you have the potential of a lion...maybe once you find that respect for what you have, that love for life, then maybe the insecurities about being a sheep fade, cause you now know, know that no one knows |
Queens of the Stone Age – Everybody Knows That You Are Insane Lyrics | 16 years ago |
The fear of going insane. Self doubt gone to the extreme. being completely alien to everyone around you, trying to explain yourself but noone feels you. So then you doubt your explantions, your feelings, what you are...which can only last so long. Then one day something clicks, you know you got yourself, so f what people percieve you as. Insanity = Socially different. Fear of insanity= fear of being socially different, what you really are. So consider your fear a blessing in disguise, one step closer to learning what you're really made of, which is not some drugged up drone living in an dellusion of what this world means. And recite that beautiful mantra "Everybody knows that you're insane"...at least then you know you're human. |

Fugees – Manifest Lyrics | 16 years ago |
"overwhelmed by gods test" thats pretty sweet, i think jean speaks of gods test as being the test between lust and love...getting caught up in this world, the known, the logical concrete- and in turn losing the beauty of love, mysteries of life, god, all that jazz that makes living pleasantly intense. Nobody is worth the paradise-MANIFEST. |
At the Drive-In – Arcarsenal Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I kinda see it from a more personal level, moving from the grip of an identity crisis with the endless motive to be better than everyone--to finally finding that peace in your own skin must have read a thousand faces must have robbed them of their cause (judging people by our first impression of them, just taking their face value, robbing them of their real worth /means) sickened thirst, sickened thirst keeps it together (the craving to be better than others is all that keeps this mindset going) soft white glow in the cranium a bulls eye made sedated (all these analyzing thoughts in the brain dont hold much spirit or soul within them{soft white glow}...but we dont realize that so we hang on to our ways cause they're all that we've got, our best approach...which makes us unaware victims of our own minds{bullseyes made sedated}) beware! must have read a thousand faces and all these voices won't give up (finally become aware of the egotistic thoughts, but they keep coming in, never giving up) sickened thirst, sickened thirst glues it together a catatonic leisure at 1000 miles per hour (this disconnected quick nervous relationship to life has become our reality, but we're clueless of true living) beware so who's in charge here barking out loud so clear/in the rear view of this mirror because i'd really like to meet him (become overwhelmed from thoughts and feelings, wonder where the hell all this constant analyzation and thoughts come from...become aware of our reflection) uproar east, strike west! (eastern mindset (like the chilled out buddahs) rescues us from this freaky black and white, this-means-this mindset of the west, and finally brings some peace and understanding of ourselves and the way we relate in the world) have you ever tasted skin sink your, sink your teeth in (finally get a taste of what we are truely made of...Yummy open-ness and possibilities)... could be about a killer, could be about politics, could be about what goes on in our heads, who knows. tell me what ya'll think |

Tool – The Grudge Lyrics | 16 years ago |
but kye usually depression arises from feeling worthless and putting the blame on oneself, not blaming others. Maynard sings about being in his "self-indulgent pitifull hole" in reflection... So tell us how to get out of that kind of pit |
Jack Johnson – Staple It Together Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Oh no! I'm antisocial...people probably think i'm weird...I overanalize the hell out of my existance...Where am i going in life?...I"m a mess... ...So many problems how can i fix myself!? So i guess we staple that all together and just call it bad weather... hey what does the line about the 'faces that he knew' part mean? |
