I think the name "Walt" does not refer to Walt Disney, but rather to Walt Whitman. In fact, if you are familiarised with Witman's poetry, you will see that this song relates to him. |

I think this song is, as Kenyn said, about young people dying. To me, it seems that it romanticices the idea of death, saying that the deaths of others make us more aware of "the shortness of our time" and, therefore, it makes us enjoy our lives more. |
