Cheers for the help everyone, sorry it took so long to fix up. Probably the best song I've ever heard.

Not sure at all mate, but there were no official lyrics so I just did the best I could

Karnivool – Illumine Lyrics 15 years ago
While I agree with the religious undertones you've explored, in an interview with JJJ, Kenny and Goddard described the song as simply being a "love song to the sun". Awesome song and ablum anyway

Karnivool – All I Know Lyrics 15 years ago
As most Karnivool fans would know, this song was previously called "Pearogram". I'm pretty sure this was a combination of the words "Pear" and "Anagram", with the most obvious anagram of "pear" being "rape". As such, I think the song is in reference to a system/structure in place which is metaphorically "raping" our society. This certainly fits in with the first verse, which appears to be sung from the first person perspective of this system/structure. I'n not sure exactly what system/structure this is in reference to, although mazzypants might be right in saying it's about religion/religious institutions, which would certainly fit in with some of the aithiest sentiments in other songs on the album (namely Caudal Lure, and Set Fire To The Hive).

Obviously I've gone right out on a limb here, and could be completely wrong, but just thought that might offer some insight.

Karnivool – The Caudal Lure Lyrics 15 years ago
Yeah, i reckon you're dead right payphone. A Caudal Lure is when a snake buries itself and leaves just the tip of its tail out in a hope to attract prey. So i reckon religion is analogous to the snake in this song.

Hey mate, I'd posted this as The Caudal Lure, so it's under T, haha. They're pretty different though. Have a look at mine, see what you reckon

This is my best guess, I'm certain plenty of it is wrong, feel free to help out if you know them

The Herd – The King Is Dead Lyrics 15 years ago
As much as I like The Herd, bashing on Howard is as unfair as it is unoriginal. The Howard/Costello government deserves this countries gratitute. The Herd should put their lyrical abilities to better use, and leave Howard bashing to pretentious arts students with beards and Che Guevara T-shirts

I love everything about this song, from the awesome spoken intro with a thick aussie accent to all the awesome lines in the song itself. Brilliant

Bruce Springsteen – Lost In The Flood Lyrics 16 years ago
One of Bruce's best songs, definiately the best of "Greetings." It is so cynical, and yet so up-lifting. The best is the Hammersmith version, it blew me away

Karnivool – C.O.T.E. Lyrics 16 years ago
OMG, these guys are so much better than tool. Whilst tool were undoubtedly one of the bands major influences, karnivool has gone well beyond what tool could have ever dreamed. Everyone who listens to cog and karnivool and dead letter circus and other awesome australian bands immeadiately compares them to tool. It frustrates me.

Anyway, this song is IMO the best song karnivool have released to date. Ian Kenny is a brilliant singer, and he delivers the song with such sincerity its hard not to sing along. Love it.
