This song really reminds of my own relationship with my boyfriend. In fact it's what got me to get back wtih my boyfriend. I listened to this song and listened to what it meant.
The first verse is about his girlfriend who does things differently then otehr people would. That's why he sees her upside down at first, but then "my brain knows better
It picks you up and turns you around" and he understands why she does those things.
Just like my boyfriend understands my weird ways of talking and doing things.
Then the second verse is about how she feels like she doesn't know for sure if she's in love with him. He's trying to tell her that it's normal for people to feel this way in a relationship, but later on she'll come to find she does love him, but she doesn't believe him and ends ups leaving him.
The rest of the song is about him feeling guilty and missing her. Guilty for not trying to go after her faster. And finally he goes after and leaves a message.
