"when everything feels like the movies you bleed just to know your alive" love that lyric! absolutely awesome!!!:D also...i went to see the goo goo dolls over 2 years ago with a group of friends and another chick that was there, who i had only met like to say a random 'hey' to a couple of times and we both got absolutely steamin drunk and had the best night ever! when Iris came on we were standing at the back of the audience and while everyone was swaying along we were going absolutely crazy, jumping about! such good fun. we have been best mates ever since and i couldnt wish for a better friend...she's more like a sister, tbh. and last night we went to see New Found Glory and they sang a cover of it and we just done the same as we done 2 years ago! love it!!!:D:D i guess the song can have different meanings to alot of people. |

Ok, it is blatantly about his search for god and he is dissing evolution as well so all in all it is a great song. the 1st verse is great. points to the rediculousness of the evolution theory which basically is that the fish swam out of the ocean, grew legs and started walking and the monkeys climbed down from the trees and gradually their backs got straighter, they lost their body hair and then became human beings, could think, talk and feel emotion like no other being on earth. yeah...that happened. :S:S he knows that his life is pointless without a belief in God and he just wants to feel close to him. |

This in an excellent song!!! so catchy and really gets u singing along without even knowing it. she has an amazing voice as well... the lyrics are fab too.
