30 Seconds to Mars – Hurricane Lyrics

Totally agree with you that it's reminiscent of Saw. My brother heard a few seconds and assumed it was. There's also a Backstreet Boys song, Unmistakable, that does the same; not in lyrics of course, but in the creepy instrumentals. It's just another reason to love this song even more, because the original Saw theme, Hello Zepp/Zepp Overature, is one of the absolute best. |

30 Seconds to Mars – This Is War Lyrics

This song has been on my mind constantly since the commercial for the final episodes of Fringe season 2 this year. It is the most perfect pairing of song and show I've ever seen. "A warning to the people, the good and the evil, this is war"...Two parallel universes are colliding with one side intent on destroying the other. "To the right, To the left, we will fight to the death. To the Edge of the Earth, it's a Brave New World from the last to the first"...The stakes are very high, people we love will be lost, and the world will be forever changed. For anyone who hasn't seen Fringe because it's just scifi you're depriving yourself of one of the most fully-realized, vulnerable, and achingly human characters on TV, Walter Bishop, played by the extraordinary John Noble (Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and Return of the King). He deserves to win an Emmy. Fringe is more about family than the monster of the week, which always ties back into the overarching story. |

Muse – Map of the Problematique Lyrics

Well, you and someone else were thinking alike. Quite a while ago I found a YouTube video (now at http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&VideoID=20036938) with Tenth Doctor clips set to this song. It was quite brilliant. The lyrics seem almost tailor-made for the character: loneliness, desolation, despair. Even though the Doctor eventually wins, he can't ever quite get it right since there are always people leaving him or dying. |

AC/DC – Back In Black Lyrics

So awesome they used this in the beginning of Iron Man. It was perfect. And my brother, having no idea the song was in it, wore his Back in Black t-shirt. Very weird. |
