Big Star – Watch The Sunrise Lyrics

I want this song played at my wedding. Well, at the reception. To me, it is kind of like starting a new day in life with my new wife, a new chapter, and together after we are married we will "Watch the Sunrise". A new day dawning. A fresh start. You get the idea.
After all that rambling, I guess I just find this song encouraging. |

Ryan Adams – Follow the Lights Lyrics

This reminds me of every holiday driving to my parents home. I have been finding my own way , but the lights they always lead you home. No matter where you are in life, look towards your loved ones. Never forgot where you are from! God, I sure do miss my childhood home, it has changed so much. We lived their 27 years and my parents moved away almost 10 years ago. I drove by the other day and it has fallen into disrepair and the neighborhood where I grew up is long gone. This song still holds true.... |

I just think that I have a certain view that may help this person and was pointing them in a certan direction. You know everything is open. Still a great song. I don't know, I just am expressing my feelings. cool? |

Come on guys, if you were to sit down and write a song about how you feel right now.. write it down... there you go.. don't read too much into these songs. They are great but come on man! Tweedy is brilliant but the key is the simplicity. |

Hey Little Boy Belle,
I agree great song, you have to live in the American South to understand. I suggest you pick up some William Faulkner books. This is your keystone to eveything. I think Ryan got this song directly from Southern Literature. |

Ryan Adams – I Taught Myself How to Grow Old Lyrics
| 16 years ago

Most of the time I got nothing to say
When I do it's nothing and nobody's there to listen anyway
I know I'm probably better off this way
I just listen to the voices on the TV 'til I'm tired
My eyes grow heavy and I fade away
Sums it up for me... |
