Ingrid Michaelson – Keep Breathing Lyrics | 16 years ago |
honestly i think it is what it is, plain and simple. Like hopeful canyon was saying, it represents us, our whole society. I really love the line "I want to believe in more than you and me." because what i think she's saying that she wants to believe there is more out there, more people who give a damn about what's going on then her and maybe one other person. For now she's "Just breathing" because for one reason or another she isn't, or feels she isn't, capable to do anything else. |

now that you mention it does sound slightly like Regina Spektor's music, but I think that Ingrid's songs are alot more...Ingrid-ey! haha |

Fall Out Boy – Of All the Gin Joints in All the World Lyrics | 16 years ago |
okay so here's what i think is a new take on this haha "You only hold me up like this Cause you don't know who I really am" -a person is pretending to be someone they aren't, and that's the only reason the other person is spending time with them. "Sometimes I just want to know what it's like to be you" -they view the other person as perfect, they envy them "We're making out inside crashed cars We're sleeping through all our memories" -since the singer is not being themselves, their relationship is obviously a 'crashed car' or a wreck. I'm not to sure what the sleeping through all the memories part is. "I used to waste my time dreaming of being alive (now I only waste my time dreaming of you)" -The singer is basically obsessed or maybe in love with the other person, they're always daydreaming about them. "Turn off the lights and turn off the shyness All of our moves make up for the silence And oh, the way your makeup stains my pillowcase Like I'll never be the same" -i think everyone knows what this is about haha, but yeah the singer 'turns of the shyness', lets his guard down, his 'moves make up for the silence' haha aaand yeah you get it. "I've got headaches and bad luck but they couldn't touch you" -singers life is screwed up, other person's isn't I don't know, just a thought haha |
Fall Out Boy – The Music or the Misery Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Okay well I guess I'm just going to totally disregard mybodyisacage's comment seeing as it is obvious he is a sad little prick who has nothing better to do with his time then actually take the time to look up bands he doesn't like and bash them. Yeah. Sad. Anyways... I can't be sure, but I think that title comes from that movie "High Fidelty" (Salem31 mentioned it) where John Cusacks characters asks "Which came first, the music or the misery?" or something like that. |
