i like the interpretations above. it also makes me think of mushrooms. not to sound like some drugged out loony who can only interpret things as drugs. i doubt thats what its about, just reminds me of it. some tribe -i forget which one- called them "little ones who spring forth" or something along those lines |

seemed rather existential to me. the absurdity of existence. sometimes thinking about that helps me to "not sweat it" over societal pressures/expectations and things of unimportance whatnot. one is then free to decide for him/herself what truly matters.
think about whats important because we all die in the end. and if your worried about things- don't sweat it....because we all die in the end. are you really worried about cosmetics (color of teeth) and whatnot, or should you just be concerned about doing what you want with the people you like to be with (your buttercup)
and yeah the correct lyrics are "color of your teeth" and "shaping up" like the last person said |

when i first read the lyrics to this song it kind of reminded me about the current situation in american politics and maybe the same situation in the past and other part of the globe. politicians these days are trying so hard to appeal to every single person that they end up having no new ideas that will actually change things. they have to talk bullsh!t instead of politics or instead of "throwing stones" (pointing out current problems) because america is so quick to criticize any flaws or point out hypocracy in poiticians. this prevents good ideas from being spoken or heard. |

i like the sounds at the end combining sounds of waves, machine guns, an orgasm, and people talking. they kinda relate to the song and create a weird affect since each of the sounds can be linked with almost opposite feelings. ocean being calm, orgasm being exciting, gunfire bad, and the sound of people talking kind of being everyday life. |

i thought it was all just sexual metaphors like that when the speakers going to butcher her (or possibly him i guess) he just means hes gonna sex her real hard. but then the sweater line kinda points to the murderer idea. |
