Symphony X – The Serpent's Kiss Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I concur with the guy above. It's obviously about Adam and Eve, and the whole "OMGZ I WANTZ THAT APPLE LOL!" thing >_> 'Cuz if anyone here knows the story (I only know it 'cuz it's off the Simpsons o_q) it was a snake that convinced them to eat one of the apples. |

EerieQuestionMark has the right lyrics. I think this song is about the story of Satan, and how they got kicked out of Paradise and became... Well... Satan... |

I think it's meant to imply the evilness of religion and how it can destroy and do more harm than good. |
Symphony X – Accolade II Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I don't agree with RyAqua about the "From The Shadows..." verse. I think it's about him going way for a long time (probably to fight some evil thing) and he comes back home and it's all changed. The best way to describe it is in Lord Of The Rings, when Frodo leaves The Shire, and when he returns from "the shadows" and The Shire is all different. But yes, this song does carry over a lot of themes for The Accolade, most notably the words "Heart of gold pumps within his metal skin, A noble line he carries on" which are also sung in The Accolade |
