I actually interpreted the whole "Love is the best endeavor waiting in the lion's mane" to mean: that love is taking a risk. lion trainers take time to make everything right in the act. relationships take time to grow, etc. and you know it'd be very dangerous and scary to touch a lion and see what was beneath his mane, secrets, things you don't want to find out yet. so.. love can be sort of scary, and scary when you know you'll find certain things out about a person. that came out jumbled but it made sense in my head, haha :) anyway, nonetheless, great song. |

Most of this song is pretty explanitory. "If you listen just right, you can almost hear it. The symphony of secrecy, love and fear. (search for love, but finding fear.)" - Ok yes, they are christian, as am I. But I noticed that a lot of their lyrics come from spirituality theories and such(whatever you'd like to call it). And one of them is that there are two emotions: love and fear. Everything else branches from that. And all throughout life, you're trying and trying to accept and give love but sometimes you feel so engulfed by fear that you come off the wrong path so he "asks for God's help". Love this song. |

"In death, there are hidden, invisible keys that only when swallowed reveal where they lead" means to me that in the concept of death, there is so much uncertainty and unknown things that along the way of life there are things revealed to us, and it is up to us and our ego to sit, soak it in, and comprehend them. Or, we can push it aside and try things our own way. But if we accept what is handed to us, believing it is for a certain reason, it will reveal where we need to go/be at that point in time. "Life is a mess we wake up to, a single thread of a deeper truth. Is this a graveyard to bury her heart? Or is it a garden where new life will start" Again, to me, this means that we always view life as complicating and hurtful, but really it is just a part of the bigger picture. Everything about life deals with allegory about death. And you can either view death in two ways: you die, you get buried, all is lost and you are forgotten and that is it. Or when you die, your spirit continues to grow(garden) and the afterLIFE begins, the truth of it all. |

a lot of their songs, obviously, are about God or spirituality. to me, "like fingertips, reminding me that light must end." could be God's touch, or a comforting touch, reminding you that the darkness (bad situation, hurt, etc) will go away eventually. that this too shall pass. in my opinion. |
