Laura Marling – Cross Your Fingers Lyrics 15 years ago
Anyone can quote the lyrics from above, but does anyone have a clue what this song is about?

I get a Jesus-like feeling from it too, especially from the line about the mountains not belonging to this person she sings to.
Besides, Laura Marling deals alot with god and Jesus in this album so it's easy to imagine this song is also about it.

Counting Crows – Holiday In Spain Lyrics 16 years ago
Hard Candy was always my least-favorite CC album. However, I started liking this one song listening to "New Amsterdam". I couldn't help it, with the way he gets his voice all cute when he sings "Hop on my choo-choo".

I just love how Adam Duritz can make you believe he means every single line he is singing, even if it's only about waking up with no shoes after a night of heavy drinking.

Damien Rice – Then Go Lyrics 16 years ago
I think this song is not about sending someone away but about willingly let them go.
I also know and love only the version which Lisa Hannigan sings at the Union Chapel, and I never thought she's hurt by someone who doesn't love her as much. Sometimes it's just the way it is - you love someone so badly it's almost impossible for them to love you as much. I think she is hurt because she feels he WANTS her to let him go. She's not upset about him not loving her, I think she's upset about having to let him go. And she loves him so much, she is willing to do that. She cares more about his happiness then hers. She would have died for him, she crossed the line, but the one thing she needs to do is let him go.
