| i think this song is about rebellion or fighting for a cause. 'its the stream of a motion blur that swirls around you til you drown' i think is talking about the conformty of the modern world pulling people in. when hes talking about the picture of a girl 'who at one point had name' is i possibly a person from the past who fought for what they beleived? a hero? 'maybe if we're loud we'll stay alive' i think this verse is reffering to the urge that people have to fight for something that they beleive in to keep them going. | |

goooddddd!!!!!!!!!! this song is god! honestly, one of the best interpol songs yet, well at leats its my favorite. 'you sing songs into my lips' 'my loves a laboritory i set all my pets free' -LOVE IT! it could be very sexual. 'you make me lose my buttons..i dont like my clothes anymore' could be interpreted as 'i hate you' or 'i wanna fuck you'. maybe a little of both. like he hates her but shes still godly attractive, so he cant help himself. i dont know, i just love interpol because of their sound and the fact that all of their lyrics can be interpreted so many different ways. its interesting to see what everyone thinks. i wish i knew what the band meant it to mean.....*sigh* |
