and may i add...i heard this, but not quite sure if its true. when vince clarke left depeche mode, he offered martin gore, andrew fletcher, and david gahan this song. However, they refused and left in bad terms.
i can't imagine david singing this song...yikes. good thing that it landed on alison moyet's lap. |

by the way...one of the best songs ever written and may i add "midnight" is awesome too. vince clarke is a genius and alison moyet is a great vocalist! |
