I feel that by using Lucy, it allows all listeners a chance to use the music and apply it to their current situation. That is why Lucy is so big for him. It makes all kinds of people with all kinds of ideas of what, or who Lucy is feel as if they know what Slug is talking about. That feel of relating makes us attach even stronger to the music. Its funny how everyone wants to know what he was thinking about. I came on here to hear what this song made a few other people feel. For me, this song represents my battle with alcohol. I got a tattoo that says warning, and I interpret Lucy as the negative influence inside myself. I look at the tattoo everyday in the mirror, and it helps me so that I stay away from that influence, and don't wake up sober after a night of alcohol/drugs and upset at myself.
