| I forget who said it, but somebody on here was talking about the "i can see their eyes, but tell me something, can they see mine?" line, saying how it's about the fans/audience at their concerts. As in, he can "see" the faces of the people in the audience, but he feels like nobody there is seeing into HIS eyes, that is, seeing the person that's behind the songs he's been performing for so long. | |

i'm glad this song has at least some comments, it deserves it :) this is probably one of my favorite earlier songs from bryce. it's short, but sweet- like a lot of his beginning stuff. i think it's just about taking a step back and seeing things on a bigger scale, putting things into perspective and being able to enjoy even the small things that make life worthwhile [the later part of the song] love it. |

"I was lost, was I found?" LOVE that line. and that's cool about the Bible verse, i knew it was a more religious song but i never realized that allusion, thanks :) i agree with everyone about his lyrics and overall sound changing and becoming more mature as he does. i'm really impressed with the do you feel album overall; this is definitely one of his deeper songs. |

i can't believe hardly anyones commented this!! this is probably one of my favorite songs on the do you feel album. it's about putting it all on the line for the one you love, holding nothing back and just being yourself; because after all that is all any of us can do. you can take it to have a religious meaning too; either way, it's a beautiful song. |

| i could be wrong, but to me it seems like this song's about seeing an ex a few years after sort of a complicated break-up..the kind of thing where there was something there, but for one reason or another they just couldn't make it work. that's probably taking it into the more concrete sense, but it matches up pretty well to me. | |
