BTW. Metalhead is a nickname I got in high school. I do love heavy metal, but now that I've grown up, my musical tastes have become much more diverse. There's nothing wrong with having an ecclectic (sp?) taste in music. I love everything musical. I agree with songswann nickelback is getting a little too pop for my personal taste. This song is more of a parody of the life of a typical rockstar. Plain and simple leave it at that.

while it's true that korn started the whole "nu metal" scene, why can't they do something a little different. korn has their success, money, and respect from the industry and true music fans everywhere. this is just one of those fun songs to sing along to and korn recognizes that. that's why they did a cover. you can't have an entire career of angry, voilent music without doing something a little more light hearted and fun. and korn never sold out. money, fame and pussy are simply results of being a successful band for over a decade. the music industry changes so rapidly, that it's damn near impossible to make a successful career out of doing the same type of music over and over. just look at any band with some longevity, and you can see how they evolve and change to suit their personal tastes and what they want their fans to see. that's what korn did here. |
