The Middle Way. Balance! |
Rush – Cygnus X-1 Book II: Hemispheres Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Ayn Rand was a proponent of Laissez Faire Capitalism. Which never actually existed without a kinda agreement that we should also donate towards the betterment of all. Rand just thought that"As long as everyone just works for their own happiness without "intervention from the state" then everyone and thing will be fine. That kind of thing just lead to society being stood on its head with the rich and powerful enslaving everyone in the name of negative liberty. The reason why we are in the enviromental and societal mess we are in now is because of people listening to people like her(Born into the Russian Revolution). THIS is not what Rush were singing about! The "Communist BogeyMan" has turned into "The Socialist Bogeyman". Balance my freind! Sensitive, open and Strong!. |
Rush – Tom Sawyer Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Dead on! Although there's a good strong beat going even in the womb! |
The Stone Roses – She Bangs The Drums Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Your all wrong. Every word of this track is about THOSE HEADY DAYS OF THE VERY LATE 80s and Early 90s. The Music(I can feel the earth begin to move I hear my needle hit the groove And spiral through another day I hear my song begin to say Kiss me where the sun don't shine The past was yours But the future's mine You're all out of time). The ChEmical(I don't feel too steady on my feet I feel hollow I feel weak Passion fruit and holy bread Fill my guts and ease my head Through the early morning sun I can see her here she comes She bangs the drums) The Rave Scene(Have you seen her have you heard The way she plays there are no words To describe the way I feel How could it ever come to pass She'll be the first she'll be the last To describe the way I feel The way I feel ) |
Red Hot Chili Peppers – Otherside Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Its about lookin at it or takin it from another/s view. Change(think about it) |
Red Hot Chili Peppers – Otherside Lyrics | 12 years ago |

The Stone Roses – Fools Gold Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Defimitly a nod to Treasure of the Sierra Madre. Every line. Having money tends to make us insular, selfish and split into our own little groups or Niches. Where as when things get tuff(jobs money economy)we tend to all come(huddle) together and value each other more and our true worth and power as human beings. Vive La Revolution. 60s late 80s early 90s the cycle for positive change and coming together is almost on us again. Where will you BE standing, when it HAPPENS. |
The Cure – Lullaby Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Great insight! I think it speaks of any desire that anguishes or repulses us thru our not excepting and taking ownership and responsibility for them. |
The Cure – Lullaby Lyrics | 13 years ago |
And now dear little children, who may this story read, To idle, silly flattering words, I pray you ne'er give heed: Unto an evil counsellor, close heart and ear and eye, And take a lesson from this tale, of the Spider and the Fly. And Robert expresses the same sentiment as Mary so says I! |
Nirvana – In Bloom Lyrics | 13 years ago |
This is about his own generation, Cobain was so frustrated and pissed of at his own Generations inability to truly rebel and bring about any real change in the world. Just about everyone of his songs screams this. Don't just sit there and say "Hmmmmmm, yeh". GET OUT THERE or IN HERE AND CHANGE THE FU!&*IN WORLD. Its not just about takin drugs and listenin to the music. Listen to it, get inspired and do something. Turn on, Tune in Drop out was one of the rallying crys of the last one. Find yours/ours and be the change you want to see! |
Rush – Natural Science Lyrics | 17 years ago |
In their own image, their world is FASCIST(not fashion), no wonder they dont understand. Technology not for its own sake but used to enrich our lives and so the world around us. Technology has its place and isn't the BE ALL and END All. |
Portishead – Strangers Lyrics | 17 years ago |
To settle the above confusion, the first verse says"did you realize the world inside belongs to you" and the second verse says"Did you realize For why this sight belongs to you.". Absoloutly beautiful, on this side, it means we see things each from our own viewpoint/state of life/position and each side should respect and appreciate this. |
Portishead – Biscuit Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Biscuit-Is an old blues name for a Girl. It reminds me of emersing yourself in and listening to blues music. |
